Jackson Taylor
Jackson George Taylor (born 1991/1992) is an Australian politician and former local government councillor. He has been a Labor Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly since November 2018, representing the electorate of Bayswater. Taylor worked as a police officer before entering politics, and served as deputy mayor of Knox City Council. Career In 2016, Taylor was elected to Knox City Council in Collier Ward, with a margin of 5.85%. In 2018, he became the deputy mayor of the council. For five years, Taylor was a serving member of Victoria Police, stationed at Glen Waverley and Lilydale, as well as spending time in the Family Violence Unit. When he was pre-selected by the Labor Party to run for state parliament, he was serving as a police prosecutor, with the rank of senior constable. Robert Clark (Australian Politician)
Robert William Clark (born 11 March 1957) is a former Australian politician. He was a Liberal Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1988 to 2018, representing the electorates of Balwyn (1988–1992) and Box Hill (1992–2018). He served as Attorney-General and Minister for Finance in the Baillieu Ministry and Napthine Ministry from 2010 to 2014, and also served as Minister for Industrial Relations under Napthine from 2013 to 2014. He had previously served as Parliamentary Secretary to the Treasurer (1992–1996) and Parliamentary Secretary for Treasury and Multimedia (1996–1999) during the Kennett government. Electoral District Of Box Hill
The electoral district of Box Hill is an electoral district of the Victorian Legislative Assembly, covering an area of in eastern Melbourne. It contains the suburbs of Box Hill, Box Hill North, Box Hill South, Mont Albert, Mont Albert North, most of Blackburn, Blackburn North, and Blackburn South, and parts of Balwyn North, Burwood, Burwood East, and Surrey Hills. It lies within the Eastern Metropolitan Region in the upper house, the Legislative Council. Electoral boundary changes The electoral district of Doncaster was split off from Box Hill and created in 1976 due to population growth. A redistribution of electorate boundaries in 1991 abolished the Balwyn electorate and incorporated most of it into Box Hill. A large part of the Box Hill electorate (with 17,290 electors) was also transferred to Mitcham. Nicholas Staikos (born 4 July 1986) is an Australian politician. He has been a Labor Party member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly since November 2014, representing the Legislative Assembly seat of Bentleigh. Career In 2005, Staikos was elected to Glen Eira Council. At 19, he was the youngest person ever elected to that council. He was re-elected in 2008, but resigned in 2009 following the passage of legislation that banned people employed by members of Parliament from serving in local government. Following his resignation, he was appointed an honorary life member of the East Bentleigh Senior Citizens Club in recognition of his service. It covers an area of in southern Melbourne, including the suburbs of Bentleigh, Hampton East, McKinnon, and Moorabbin, and parts of Bentleigh East, Brighton East and Ormond. It also includes the Moorabbin campus of the Monash Medical Centre. It lies within the Southern Metropolitan Region of the upper house, the Legislative Council. It is a electorate centred on the city of Bendigo west of the Yungera railway line, and including surrounding rural towns to the west and south-west. It encompasses the localities of Bendigo City, California Gully, Castlemaine, Harcourt, Long Gully, Maldon, Marong, Newstead and West Bendigo.
