''Resucitar'' (English: "Resurrect") is the seventh studio album by Peruvian singer-songwriter Gian Marco released by Sony Music Latin and Crescent Moon Records on July 20, 2004. It was his second album to be released internationally. It was his last album under a major music label and since then he's been successful as an independent artist. Commercial performance Like Gian Marco's previous album, this album was a success throughout Latin America and parts of Europe. Its lead single of the same name entered the U.S. billboard charts and the album earned Gian Marco his first Latin Grammy Award in 2005. This was Gian Marco's fifth nomination at the Latin Grammys. Gian Marco Javier Zignago Alcóver (born 17 August 1970) is a Peruvian musician and actor. He has won the Latin Grammy Award for the Best Singer-Songwriter Album three times. First in 2005 for his album ''Resucitar'', in 2011 for his album ''Días Nuevos'', and in 2012 for his album ''20 Años''. Gian Marco was named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in Peru. His mother is the Peruvian actress and singer María Regina Alcóver Ureta, and his father was the late Peruvian composer and singer Javier Óscar Florencio Zignago Viñas, known in the musical world as Joe Danova. Release After he released the theme song for the 2004 Copa América, Gian Marco released his seventh album with this song as the lead single. The 6th Annual Latin Grammy Awards were held in Los Angeles at the Shrine Auditorium on Thursday, November 3, 2005. It was the first ceremony to be broadcast by Univision in the United States. ''A Tiempo'' (English: "On Time") is the sixth studio album by Peruvian singer-songwriter Gian Marco released by Sony Music Latin and Crescent Moon Records in December 2001 in Perú and April 9, 2002 for the rest of the world. It was his first album to be released Internationally. Gian Marco earned his first 3 Latin Grammy nominations with this album. ''8'' is the eighth studio album by Peruvian singer-songwriter Gian Marco released by EMI on November 17, 2006. It was his first album released under his new label. The Music of Peru is an amalgamation of sounds and styles drawing on Peru's Andean, Spanish, and African roots.
