Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon is the debut album by the German indie rock band Get Well Soon released on January 4, 2008, in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland with the City Slang record label, in UK and Ireland in June 2008 on Nude, and in France in September that year. The album took three years to produce and was met with mainly positive reviews from most German music magazines. The lyrics were pointed out as having particular strength for their often philosophical and cynical nature. Get Well Soon (band)
Get Well Soon is a music and band project of the German singer, songwriter and instrumentalist Konstantin Gropper. He has released six albums and a number of EPs and singles. Career Gropper was born September 28, 1982 in Biberach an der Riss, Germany, the son of Walter Gropper, a music teacher in Erolzheim. He grew up in a musical household and learned to play the cello at an early age while he attended the gymnasium in Ochsenhausen. At secondary school he formed his first band, Your Garden and briefly studied languages at the Heidelberg University before enrolling at the Mannheim Pop Academy. His sister Verena is a soprano and they occasionally perform together. He worked 3 years on his debut album ''Rest Now, Weary Head! You Will Get Well Soon'' which was released in Europe by the Label City Slang and by Nude Records in the UK and Ireland in January 2008. City Slang is an independent record label based in Berlin, Germany. History The label was founded in 1990 by former tour agent Christof Ellinghaus, exclusively to release The Flaming Lips' '' In A Priest Driven Ambulance (With Silver Sunshine Stares)''. Nude Records is an independent record label, established in August 1991 in London. The label was set up and operated by Saul Galpern, who had previously worked with artists such as Simply Red, The Fall, Julian Cope, The Triffids, The Slits and Au Pairs. The label filed for voluntary liquidation in December 2001, before it was re-established by Galpern in 2016. ''Uncut'' is a monthly magazine based in London. It is available across the English-speaking world, and focuses on music, but also includes film and books sections. A DVD magazine under the ''Uncut'' brand was published quarterly from 2005 to 2006. The magazine was acquired in 2019 by Singaporean music company BandLab Technologies, and has been published by NME Networks since December 2021.
