Hidden in Plain View is an American five-piece post-hardcore band from northern New Jersey. They formed in 2000 and originally disbanded in 2007. During this seven-year run, the group released records with four record labels (most notably the independent record label Drive-Thru Records), including two full-length albums and three EPs. Hidden in Plain View played numerous venues, including The Capitol in Shamokin, Pennsylvania, and concert tours such as the Warped Tour and the Drive-Thru Records Invasion Tours in the United States, Europe and Japan. In 2015 they reunited and released an EP entitled ''Animal'' via Rise Records. In 2022, the band released their latest EP ''Tantrums''. Drive-Thru Records
Drive-Thru Records was a California-based independent record label owned by siblings Richard and Stefanie Reines. The label was partially responsible for popularizing the pop-punk/emo merger sound of the early to mid-2000s. After facing financial obstacles in getting their bands' music into stores, Drive-Thru entered into a distribution deal with MCA/Universal. In 2003 MCA was dissolved and folded into Geffen Records. One of the clauses of that agreement was MCA/Geffen being able to sign any band of their choosing from Drive-Thru's roster. Once the Universal deal ended, they signed a contract with independent label Sanctuary Records. Starting with a new roster, the label garnered a top 10 platinum hit with "Here In Your Arms" by Hellogoodbye. ''Life in Dreaming'' is Hidden in Plain View's first full-length album, released on February 22, 2005 by Drive-Thru Records. Release In September 2004, the band toured the US with Don't Look Down and Hellogoodbye. In January and February 2005, the band toured across the US with Something Corporate, Straylight Run, the Academy Is... and Armor for Sleep. It was originally scheduled for an August 2004 release, but was postponed until February 2005 to gain time for promotion. The album includes an Enhanced CD portion with video footage of a live performance of "Twenty Below" at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, California and a making-of featurette. Brian McTernan is an American musician and record producer from Baltimore, Maryland. McTernan was the lead vocalist in the hardcore punk band Battery, the guitarist in Ashes, and is the singer in Be Well.
