''Residual Kid'' is an American rock band from Austin, Texas formed in 2009 at rock camp USA. The group consists of Deven Ivy (vocals, guitar), Ben Redman (drums), and Max Redman (bass guitar). They have released three EPs: ''Box'' in 2011, which was recorded with an earlier lineup, ''Faces'', featuring the current lineup, in 2012, and ''Salsa'' in 2016. The band has recently signed with Sire Records, an American label owned by Warner Music Group, and released their first EP ''Salsa'' with the label in 2016. The two-song digital single '' The Volcom Sessions'' was released on Sire at the end of 2016. History Formed by Deven Ivy and siblings Max and Ben Redman, who met at a songwriting day camp for youth in 2009, the band quickly gained attention by playing gigs in the Austin, Texas area. Salsa (EP)
''Salsa'' is an EP by American alternative rock band Residual Kid, released on April 8, 2016. It was produced by Chris "Frenchie" Smith. To celebrate the release, the band held an EP release show at The Hi-Dive in Denver, Colorado. The song "Scentless Princess" was released as the lead single from the EP, with a video directed by Joshua Logan and Michael Anthony Gibson. A second music video was released later on for the song "Chill". Joseph Donald Mascis Jr. ( ; born December 10, 1965), better known as J Mascis, is an American musician who is the singer, guitarist and main songwriter for the alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. He has also released several albums as a solo artist and played drums and guitar on other projects. Fun Fun Fun Fest (often abbreviated as "FFF" or "F3F") was an annual music and comedy festival held in Austin, Texas, United States. The festival was the only genre based festival in the United States, featuring stages that focused specifically on hip-hop / electronica, indie rock, punk / metal, and comedy. Started in 2006, the festival focused on a combination of discovering emerging talent and putting together rarely seen or anticipated reunion performances. South By Southwest
South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW and colloquially referred to as South By, is an annual conglomeration of parallel film, interactive media, and music festivals and Convention (meeting), conferences organized jointly that take place in mid-March in Austin, Texas, United States. Livestrong Foundation
The Livestrong Foundation is a United States nonprofit organization that provides support for people affected by cancer. The foundation, based in Austin, Texas, was established in 1997 by cancer survivor and former professional road racing cyclist Lance Armstrong, as the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The Easybeats
The Easybeats were an Australian rock band that formed in Sydney in late 1964. They enjoyed a level of success that in Australia rivalled The Beatles. They became the first Australian rock act to score an international hit, with the 1966 single " Friday on My Mind", as well as one of the few in Australia to foreground their original material. During their six-year run, they scored 15 top 40 hits in Australia, including "She's So Fine" and " Women (Make You Feel Alright)", with other No. 1 hits including "Friday on My Mind" and " Sorry".
