Rescue You
''Rescue You'' is the first solo album of Joe Lynn Turner, formerly of Rainbow and Fandango. This album is a collection of AOR and radio-friendly pop tracks from the rock heyday of the mid-80's. Produced by Roy Thomas Baker. There was a single and video release of the song, "Endlessly." The song received extensive airplay on radio and peaked at No. 19 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock chart. The accompanying video was directed by Jim Yukich, whose credits included Iron Maiden, Genesis, and Jeff Beck. The director described the video “like a dream in the life," combining conceptual and performance footage, and revolves around the marketing of a rock star." It was filmed at Carthay Studios and the Electrasound Warehouse near Los Angeles. Tammara Wells produced. The album debuted on the Billboard 200 Album chart, the week ending November 2, 1985, and was on the charts for a total of 12 weeks, peaking at No. 143. Joe Lynn Turner
Joe Lynn Turner (born Joseph Arthur Mark Linquito, August 2, 1951) is an American singer known for his work in the hard rock bands Rainbow, Yngwie J. Malmsteen and Deep Purple. During his career, Turner fronted and played guitar with pop rock band Fandango in the late 1970s; and in the early 1980s, he became a member of Rainbow, fronting the band and writing songs with guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore and bassist, and producer, Roger Glover. After Rainbow had disbanded in March 1984, he pursued a solo career, released one album, Rescue You, and sang backing vocals for Billy Joel, Cher, and Michael Bolton along with radio and television jingles. He also collaborated with songwriters Desmond Child and Jack Ponti. Turner had a short-lived association with neoclassical metal guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen and then Deep Purple. Jeff Beck
Geoffrey Arnold Beck (born 24 June 1944) is an English rock guitarist. He rose to prominence with the Yardbirds and after fronted the Jeff Beck Group and Beck, Bogert & Appice. In 1975, he switched to a mainly instrumental style, with a focus on innovative sound, and his releases have spanned genres ranging from blues rock, hard rock, jazz fusion and a blend of guitar-rock and electronica. A backing vocalist is a singer who provides vocal harmony with the lead vocalist or other backing vocalists. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. It is a plucked string instrument similar in appearance and construction to an electric or an acoustic guitar, but with a longer neck and scale length, and typically four to six strings or courses. The guitar is a fretted musical instrument that typically has six strings. Charles Arnold Burgi III (, born August 15, 1952, Montclair, New Jersey) is an American drummer. He has performed with many rock bands and musicians, ranging from local New Jersey/New York-area artists to international groups, throughout his prolific career. He is the current drummer for The Billy Joel Band. Career After having performed on several album sessions, Burgi earned a spot with the jazz fusion band, Brand X. He then experienced early mainstream success with his band, Balance in the early 1980s. Alan Greenwood (born October 20, 1951) is an American rock musician who was a founding member and keyboardist of the rock band Foreigner from 1976 to 1980.
