René Shuman
René Shuman (born 5 December 1967) is a Dutch singer, guitarist, composer and producer. Shuman gained national fame through his performance in Henny Huisman's ''Soundmixshow''. He came in second with Elvis Presley's repertoire, a rendition of the songs " Are You Lonesome Tonight?" and "Don't Be Cruel". He performed several times with the original band members of Elvis Presley, both in group form and individually. He was on stage with The Jordanaires (Elvis' original vocal group), the TCB Band, drummer DJ Fontana, Cherrill Nielsen, Charly Hodge and guitarist Scotty Moore. In 1999, Shuman presented Scotty Moore with a Lifetime Achievement Award in Amsterdam. Shuman has been nicknamed the "Dutch Elvis". Despite the fact that the Dutch public often associates Shuman with the music of Elvis Presley, it took until 2003 before he released a cover of 'the King' together with singer Angel-Eye. Geleen
Geleen (; li, Gelaen ) is a city in the southern part of the province of Limburg (Netherlands), Limburg in the Netherlands. With 31,670 inhabitants in 2020, it is part of the municipality of Sittard-Geleen. Geleen is situated along the river Geleenbeek, a right tributary to the river Meuse. Rhythm Of My Heart
"Rhythm of My Heart" is a song written by Marc Jordan and John Capek that Dutch rock and roll artist René Shuman included on his 1986 debut album, ''René Shuman''. In 1991, British singer Rod Stewart recorded the song for his album ''Vagabond Heart'' with production by Trevor Horn. It is the album's opening track and was released as its first single on 4 March 1991. Stewart's version reached 3 on the UK Singles Chart, No. 5 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100, and No. 1 on the Canadian and Irish charts. The melody is an adaptation of "Loch Lomond". The Irish Singles Chart is the Republic of Ireland's music industry standard singles popularity chart issued weekly by the Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) and compiled on their behalf by the Official Charts Company. Chart rankings are based on sales, which are compiled through over-the-counter retail data captured electronically each day from retailers' EPOS systems. All major record shops, digital retailers and streaming services contribute to the chart, accounting for over 95% of the market. A new chart is compiled and officially released to the public by the Irish Recorded Music Association on Friday at noon. Each chart is dated with the "week-ending" date of the previous Thursday (i.e., the day before issue). The singles chart was first published on 1 October 1962, and covered the top ten singles of the previous week by record label shipments. ''RPM'' ( and later ) was a Canadian music-industry publication that featured song and album charts for Canada. The publication was founded by Walt Grealis in February 1964, supported through its existence by record label owner Stan Klees. ''RPM'' ceased publication in November 2000. ''RPM'' stood for "Records, Promotion, Music". The magazine's title varied over the years, including ''RPM Weekly'' and ''RPM Magazine''. Chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play, and online streaming in the United States. ''Vagabond Heart'' is the sixteenth studio album by British recording artist Rod Stewart, released on 26 March 1991 by Warner Bros. Records. The album reached No. 10 in the US, and reached No. 2 in the UK.
