Reno Rattlers
The Reno Rattlers were an American soccer team based in Reno, Nevada from 1994 to 1998. The club began in the USISL and moved to the USL Second Division in 1995. The team moved up to the USISL Select League in 1996, but returned to the Pro League the next season. The Rattlers disbanded following the 1998 season. United Soccer League (USL), formerly known as United Soccer Leagues, is a soccer league in the United States and Canada. It organizes several men's and women's leagues, both professional and amateur. The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. During its existence, it formed the second tier of soccer in the United States soccer league system behind Major League Soccer. It was operated by United Soccer Leagues (USL) and was known as the A-League, from 1997 until 2004. Earl Wooster High School , or Wooster High School (WHS), is a public secondary school in Reno, Nevada that is a part of the Washoe County School District. Greg Petersen is an American soccer coach. Player Petersen attended CSU East Bay where he played as goalkeeper on the men’s soccer team. In 1984, he was named to the First Team All Conference team. Coach In 1990, Petersen became an assistant coach with the Stanford Cardinal soccer team. In 1994, he was hired as head coach of the expansion CCV Hydra of the USISL.
