Remind Me (Röyksopp Song)
"Remind Me" is the fourth single by Norwegian duo Röyksopp. The single version of "Remind Me" is a remix by English duo Someone Else, and is substantially different from the album version. The vocals on the song are provided by Kings of Convenience singer Erlend Øye. "Remind Me" was also released as a double A-side single with "So Easy" after the latter was used by telecommunications company T-Mobile in a 2002 television advertisement in the UK; the single reached #21 in the UK Singles Chart. "Remind Me" was used in a 2006 U.S. advertisement for GEICO insurance. Composition "Remind Me" is a cheery easy listening song with instruments of wavy, acid house-style bass notes, mellow synthesizers and jazz-influenced percussion backing a 1960s-esque dreamy vocal line. Röyksopp
Röyksopp (), a Norwegian electronic music duo from Tromsø formed in 1998. The duo consists of Svein Berge and Torbjørn Brundtland. Berge and Brundtland were introduced to each other through a mutual friend in Tromsø, Norway. They enjoyed the same films and music, and shared an interest in electronics. The two experimented with various forms of electronic music, and bought a drum machine together during the Tromsø techno scene before going their separate ways. Several years later, the two met up again and formed Röyksopp during the Bergen Wave. After experimenting with different genres of electronic music, the band solidified their place in the electronica scene with their 2001 debut album, ''Melody A.M.'', released on the Wall of Sound record label. H5 (French Company)
H5 is a French design and animation studio founded by Ludovic Houplain and Antoine Bardou-Jacquet in 1994. Under Houplain's art direction, H5's work can mostly be found in the fields of music videos (visuals for Air, Super Discount, Etienne de Crécy, Röyksopp, Le Tone, Alex Gopher, Darkel, Cosmo Vitelli and Demon) and luxury advertising (Dior, Cartier, Hugo Boss, Hermès and Lancôme). Since 1999, H5 has also worked as a collective of directors. They also made their first animated clips, such as animated typography for Alex Gopher, a cartoon for Zebda, digital animations for Super Furry Animals and Playgroup. GEICO Cavemen
The GEICO Cavemen are trademarked characters of the auto insurance company GEICO, used in a series of television advertisements that aired beginning in 2004. The campaign was created by Joe Lawson and Noel Ritter while working at The Martin Agency. According to an episode of the public radio show ''99% Invisible'', "It's so easy a caveman could do it" was first coined by Ritter. The inspiration for the campaign came from "Pastoralia", a short story by George Saunders, which revolves around a man and a woman, who work as "cave-people" for a failing theme park. In 2004, GEICO began an advertising campaign featuring Neanderthal-like cavemen in a modern setting. The premise of the commercials is that using GEICO's website is "so easy, a caveman could do it"; and that this slogan offends several cavemen, who not only still exist in modern society but live as intelligent, urbane bachelors. Acid house (also simply known as just "acid") is a subgenre of house music developed around the mid-1980s by DJs from Chicago.
