Remembrance Of Love
''Remembrance of Love'' is a 1982 war film directed by Jack Smight and starring Kirk Douglas. A reunion of Holocaust survivors in Israel brings together a couple who had been teenage lovers 35 years earlier in Poland during the Second World War. It aired as an '' NBC Monday Movie''. Jack Smight
John Ronald Smight (March 9, 1925 – September 1, 2003) was an American theatre and film director. His film credits include ''Harper'' (1966), '' No Way to Treat a Lady'' (1968), ''Airport 1975'' (1974), '' Midway'' (1976), and ''Fast Break'' (1979). Biography Smight was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and went to Cretin High School with future actor Peter Graves. He joined the Army Air Forces, flying missions in the Pacific during World War II, before earning his degree at the University of Minnesota. He then sought work as an actor. He worked as a radio actor and had a bit part in a stage production of '' Anna Lucasta''. He became stage manager for TV's ''The Good Egg of the Week'' and then assistant director on ''The Colgate Comedy Hour'' and ''The Dennis Day Show''. Eric Anthony Douglas (June 21, 1958 – July 6, 2004) was an American actor and stand-up comedian. Douglas was the youngest son of actor Kirk Douglas and his second wife Anne Buydens. His half brother was actor and producer Michael Douglas. Douglas pursued a career in show business but did not attain the same level of success as his father and siblings. His career was overshadowed by his numerous run-ins with the law and problems with alcohol and drugs. Michael W. Goodwin (b. October 9, 1941, in Virginia, Minnesota) is an American character actor. He has appeared in a number of Aaron Spelling-produced television programs, and a number of films which take place during the American Civil War. Chana Eden ( he, חנה עדן; November 23, 1932 – March 30, 2019) was an Israeli-American actress and singer. After her debut in the 1958 film ''Wind Across the Everglades'', Eden appeared in guest roles in many American television series of the late 1950s and early 1960s. She returned to acting on two occasions in the 1980s. Biography Chana Mesyngier was born in Haifa to Rachel and Menachem Mesyngier, a pharmacist.
