Remedy For Riches
''Remedy for Riches'' is a 1940 American comedy film directed by Erle C. Kenton and featuring Jean Hersholt. It is the fourth of the six films of the Dr. Christian series. Plot A college friend of the local soda-jerk comes to town and lets it be known that he's looking for property on which to build a resort. When he buys some land and suddenly "discovers" there's oil underneath it—and generously offers to sell the townspeople shares in his newly found oil reserves—Dr. Christian suspects a swindle and sets out to prove it. Robert Baldwin (actor)
is a Canadian-Japanese actor. Baldwin, born in Eba, Naka-ku, Hiroshima, Hiroshima Prefecture, has appeared in many Japanese films, television series, advertisements, and music videos, and also works in Japan as a translator, narrator, and copywriter. In 2005, he appeared in ''Chousei Kantai Sazer-X'' in the recurring role of Gordo, assistant to one of the heroes; in an interview with ''Tokusatsu Newtype'', Baldwin stated that he was likely to appear in the fourth entry of the Chouseishin Series, unaware that it would not be continued following ''Sazer-X''. Renie Isabel Riano (August 7, 1899 – July 3, 1971) was an English-born American actress who, with the exception of the Jiggs and Maggie comedies, had minor roles in 1940s and 1950s films. She was sometimes credited as Reine Riano, Renee Riano, or Rene Riano. Biography Riano's parents were Robert and Irene Riano of vaudeville's popular Four Rianos acrobatic act, an eccentric acrobat act which toured the world in vaudeville, variety and music halls. Jed Prouty (born Clarence Gordon Prouty; April 6, 1879 – May 10, 1956) was an American film actor. Biography Born as Clarence Gordon Prouty in Boston, Massachusetts, Prouty was a vaudeville performer before becoming a film actor. Mostly appearing in comedies, he occasionally performed a serious character role, for instance a small part as an oily publicist in '' A Star is Born'' (1937). John Warren Hull (January 17, 1903 – September 14, 1974), known professionally as Warren Hull, was an American actor, singer and television personality active from the 1930s through the 1960s.
