Reinhard Linden
Reinhard Linden (born 1957 in Ingelheim am Rhein) is a German opera director. Since the season 2006/2007 he has worked in this capacity at the Kiel Opera House. A trained church musician, he previously served as a coach, tutor, conductor and singer. Linden has experience at La Scala, Paris Opera, as a coach in New York City and Vienna, and in teaching in the universities of Mainz and Frankfurt. He was at the Wuppertal Opera and the Deutsche Oper am Rhein study leader from 2004-2006. Ingelheim Am Rhein
Ingelheim (), officially Ingelheim am Rhein ( en, Ingelheim upon Rhine), is a town in the Mainz-Bingen district in the Rhineland-Palatinate state of Germany. The town sprawls along the Rhine's west bank. It has been Mainz-Bingen's district seat since 1996. From the later half of the 8th century, the Ingelheim Imperial Palace, which served emperors and kings as a lodging and a ruling seat until the 11th century, was to be found here. Opernhaus Kiel
Opernhaus Kiel (Kiel Opera House) is the major venue for opera, ballet, and orchestral performances in Kiel, and home to Theater Kiel. It is a Grade II listed building. History After an architectural competition, the Kiel City Council commissioned the architect Heinrich Seeling in 1902 to build the theatre, for both theatre performances and music. Wuppertal Opera
Opernhaus Wuppertal (Wuppertal Opera House) is a German theatre in Wuppertal, North Rhine-Westphalia. It houses mostly performances of operas, but also plays, run by the municipal Wuppertaler Bühnen. The house is also the venue for dance performances by the company created by Pina Bausch. The house was built in 1905 on a design by Carl Moritz as the ("Barmen Municipal Theatre"). It was rebuilt after being severely damaged during World War II and again restored over the period 2006–2009. Deutsche Oper Am Rhein
The Deutsche Oper am Rhein (German Opera on the Rhine) is an opera company based in Düsseldorf and Duisburg. The opera also has an associated classical ballet company. Axel Kober has been its Music Director since 2009. The resident orchestra, the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker, play both opera and symphonic repertoire. After the 1875 construction of what became the Düsseldorf ''Opernhaus'', a strong connection between the two cities’ opera houses existed from 1887 to 1920, and was not re-established until 1955 with the creation of the Deutsche Oper am Rhein. The company performs in the Opernhaus Düsseldorf, built in 1875. It was partially destroyed during World War II, and reconstructed to officially re-open in 1956.
