Reilly Opelka
Reilly Opelka (born August 28, 1997) is an American professional tennis player. At 6 feet 11 inches tall, he is tied (with Ivo Karlović) for the tallest-ever ATP-ranked player, and can produce serves that measure over 140 mph. He has been ranked as high as World No. 17 in singles by the ATP, which he achieved on February 28, 2022, and in doubles as world No. 89 on August 2, 2021. He has won four ATP singles titles and one doubles title. He is a junior Wimbledon champion. Personal life Opelka was born in St. Joseph, Michigan and moved to Palm Coast, Florida at age 4. He didn't start playing tennis regularly until he began training through USTA in Boca Raton at 12 years old. ATP Rankings
The Pepperstone ATP rankings are the merit-based method used by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for determining the qualification for entry as well as the seeding of players in all singles and doubles tournaments. The first rankings for singles were published on 23 August 1973 while the doubles players were ranked for the first time on 1 March 1976. Ranking points are awarded according to the stage of tournament reached, and the prestige of the tournament, with the four Grand Slam tournaments awarding the most points. Akira Santillan
is a Japanese born, Australian tennis player. Early life Santillan was born in Tokyo to a Japanese mother and a South African father of Spanish descent. He lived the first 8 years of his life in Japan before his family relocated to the Gold Coast, Australia and became citizens. He played much of his junior tennis at the Gold Coast before moving to Brisbane to join the national academy program at the Queensland Tennis Centre. Junior career On the junior tour, Santillan has a career high ITF junior ranking of 7 achieved in September 2015. Mikael Ymer (born 9 September 1998) is a Swedish tennis player. He has a career high ATP singles ranking of world No. 67, achieved in March 2020. In the ATP doubles ranking his career high is No. 187, achieved in October 2017. He is currently the No. 1 Swedish player. Early life Ymer was born in Skara, Sweden to Ethiopian immigrant parents. Mike Opelka (born July 9, 1957) is an American radio broadcaster and television producer, in Houston, New York, Delaware, and nationally. Early Opelka was born in the "old Southside" of Chicago, back when it was a "dicey area". As a big sports fan, he and his brothers would “cut school for opening day at Wrigley Field. We’d compete to be my dad’s ''plus one'' for Bears games.” Wanting out of Chicago, his father moved the family to Glenview, Illinois where Opelka attended Catholic schools.
