Reidar Åsgård
Reidar Åsgård (born 4 May 1943) is a Norwegian politician for the Norwegian Labour Party, Labour Party. Following the 2007 Norwegian local elections, 2007 elections Åsgård is the mayor of the Norwegian municipality of Engerdal in Hedmark. Åsgård has held this office several times earlier, most recently from 1999 to 2003. From 2003 to 2007 he held the highest political office of the internal politics of Hedmark county as he was the leader of the executive branch (''fylkesrådsleder'') of Hedmark county council. 2007 Norwegian Local Elections
Country-wide local elections for seats in municipality and county councils were held throughout Norway on 10 September 2007, with some areas polling on 9 September as well. For most places this meant that two elections, the municipal elections and the county elections ran concurrently. In addition, several municipalities held direct mayoral elections. Engerdal is a municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Østerdalen. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Engerdal. Other villages in the municipality include Drevsjø, Elgå, Sømådal, and Sorken. The municipality is the 28th largest by area out of the 356 municipalities in Norway. Engerdal is the 316th most populous municipality in Norway with a population of 1,253. Hedmark
Hedmark () was a county in Norway before 1 January 2020, bordering Trøndelag to the north, Oppland to the west, Akershus to the south, and Sweden to the east. The county administration is in Hamar. Hedmark and Oppland counties were merged into Innlandet county on 1 January 2020, when Norway's former 19 counties became 10 bigger counties / regions Hedmark made up the northeastern part of Østlandet, the southeastern part of the country.
