Reidar Sørensen (born 11 April 1956) is a Norwegian actor. He was born in Hemnesberget. He has worked at various theatres, including Trøndelag Teater, Det Norske Teatret, Riksteatret, Nordland Teater and Agder Teater. He was given the Amanda Award in 1989 for '' Himmelplaneten''. He played the detective "Cato Isaksen" in several TV crime series based on novels by Unni Lindell. He has played in several drama films, including '' Byttinger'' from 1991, '' Ti kniver i hjertet'' from 1995, '' Brent av frost'' from 1997, and '' 1732 Høtten'' from 1998. ''Home for Christmas'' ( no, Hjem til jul) is a 2010 Norwegian comedy film, comedy-drama film directed by Bent Hamer. “Home for Christmas” is based on a selection of short stories from the Norwegian author Levi Henriksen's collection, ”Only Soft Presents Under the Tree”. These stories, which now and then intersect with each other, all take place in Henriksen's fictitious small town of Skogli, over a couple of hours on Christmas Eve. Bent Hamer (born 18 December 1956) is a film director, writer and producer, born in Sandefjord, Norway in 1956. Biography Hamer studied film theory and literature at the University of Stockholm and the Stockholm Film School. In addition to his feature films, he has written and directed a number of short films and documentaries. His first film, ''Eggs'', premiered at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival where it was shown in the Directors' Fortnight section. That same year, it was shown in competition at the 19th Moscow International Film Festival where it won the award for Best First Film; it also received the FIPRESCI Prize at the 1995 Toronto International Film Festival. ''Bloody Angels'' (Norwegian: ''1732 Høtten'') is a 1998 Norway, Norwegian Thriller (genre), thriller film directed by Karin Julsrud, starring Reidar Sørensen, Stig Henrik Hoff and Lailia Goody.The film was Julsrud's directorial début Plot In the small village of Høtten, six months after the rape and murder of a 13-year-old girl, one of the suspects is found dead. Nicholas Ramm (Reidar Sørensen) has to investigate the crime. Reception Reviewers were split on the film, but generally not very positive. In a review for Norwegian newspaper Verdens Gang, Jon Selås gave the movie a "Die throw (review), die throw" of one and called it a "speculative, purposeless and ice-cold miss". Eirik W. Alver of Dagbladet was slightly more satisfied with the film, giving it three points. Though he was not bored by the movie, he found the characters and the environment caricatured.
