Regionalist Party Of Cantabria
The Regionalist Party of Cantabria ( es, Partido Regionalista de Cantabria, PRC) is the second oldest political party in the Spanish Autonomous Community of Cantabria. The PRC originated in the Association in Defense of the Interests of Cantabria (ADIC), founded on 14 May 1976, with the objective of promoting Cantabrian autonomy. History Formation and early years The PRC was officially formed on 10 November 1978, under the leadership of Miguel Ángel Revilla, Manuel Izquierdo Nozal, Jose Luis Oria Toribio, Eduardo Obregón Barreda, and Juan Jose García González. The PRC participated for the first time in general elections in 1979, presenting candidates for the Spanish Senate and on 3 April of that same year went to the municipal elections with a clear goal: to obtain the representation necessary to demand from the city councils autonomy for Cantabria. Miguel Ángel Revilla
Miguel Ángel Revilla Roiz (born 23 January 1943 in Polaciones) is a Spanish politician, economist and bank employee serving as the 9th President of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. Before this, Revilla has served as the 7th President between 2003 and 2011, making him the longest serving holder of the office. He has also served as the 5th Vice President of Cantabria from 1995 to 2003 and regional Minister of Public Works, Housing and Urbanism in the same period. Majorcan Union ( ca, Unió Mallorquina, UM; ) was a regional liberal party on the island of Majorca, Spain. It was founded in October 1982, as a nationalist continuation of the then disintegrating Union of the Democratic Centre (UCD). The main founder was Jeroni Albertí Picornell. The Navarrese People's Union ( es, Unión del Pueblo Navarro), abbreviated to UPN, is a regional conservative political party in Navarre, Spain.
