Region Midtjylland
The Central Denmark Region (), or more directly translated as the Central Jutland Region and sometimes simply Mid-Jutland, is an administrative Regions of Denmark, region of Denmark established on 1 January 2007 as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, 2007 Danish municipal reform. The reform abolished the traditional counties of Denmark, counties (''amter'') and replaced them with five new administrative regions. At the same time, smaller municipalities of Denmark, municipalities were merged into larger units, cutting the total number of municipalities from 271 to 98. The reform diminished the power of the regional level dramatically in favour of the local level and the national government in Copenhagen. The Central Denmark Region comprises 19 municipalities. Jutland
Jutland (; , ''Jyske Halvø'' or ''Cimbriske Halvø''; , ''Kimbrische Halbinsel'' or ''Jütische Halbinsel'') is a peninsula of Northern Europe that forms the continental portion of Denmark and part of northern Germany (Schleswig-Holstein). Randers Municipality
Randers Municipality (, ) is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Midtjylland on the Jutland peninsula in central Denmark. The municipality covers an area of , and has a population of 100,356 (as of 1. January 2025). Its mayor, since 1 January 2018 is Torben Hansen, a member of the Social Democrats. Central European Summer Time
Central European Summer Time (CEST, UTC+02:00), sometimes referred to as Central European Daylight Time (CEDT), is the standard clock time observed during the period of summer daylight-saving in those European countries which observe Central European Time (CET; UTC+01:00) during the other part of the year. Anders Kühnau Hansen (born 12 August 1981 in Odense, Denmark) is a Danish politician and the chairperson of the ''regionsråd'' (regional parliament) of Central Denmark Region since 2018. Viborg Municipality
Viborg Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Region Midtjylland on the Jutland peninsula in northern Denmark. The municipality covers an area of 1,421.04 km2, and has a population of 97,621 (1. January 2025). Struer Municipality
Struer Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Mid Jutland Region on the Jutland Peninsula in west Denmark. The municipality includes the island of Venø. Skive Municipality () is a municipality ( Danish, '' kommune'') in Mid Jutland Region on Salling Peninsula, a part of the larger Jutland Peninsula in northwest Denmark.
