Reginald Baker (film Producer)
Reginald Poynton Baker, MC FCA FRSA (19 July 1896 – 31 January 1985) was a British film producer and a major contributor to the development of the British film industry. Along with his younger brother Leslie Forsyth, he played a decisive role in establishing Ealing Studios. He was the father of Conservative MP Peter Baker. Baker died in Australia aged 89. From 1943 to 1946, Baker was president of the Kinematograph Renter's Society of Great Britain and Ireland (KRS) and from 1950 to 1953, president of the British Film Producers Association (BFPA). He lived at Loddenden Manor, a 300 acres estate situated in Staplehurst, Kent until 1954. Reginald Tustin Baker (4 July 1900 – 18 December 1966) was an English organist and composer. Biography Baker was born in 1900 in Gloucester,''England & Wales, Civil Registration Birth Index, 1837-1915'' the son of Albert William Baker (b. 1860) and Emily Jane Tustin (1861–1918). He studied organ under Herbert Brewer at Gloucester Cathedral and became his assistant from 1920–26, after fighting in the British Army during the First World War. He died in December 1966 in Sheffield Cathedral following Evening Prayer. Snowy Baker
Reginald Leslie "Snowy" Baker (8 February 18842 December 1953) was an Australian athlete, sports promoter, and actor. Born in Surry Hills, an inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Baker excelled at a number of sports, winning New South Wales swimming and boxing championships while still a teenager. Playing rugby union for Eastern Suburbs, he played several games for New South Wales against Queensland, and in 1904 represented Australia in two Test matches against Great Britain. At the 1908 London Olympics, Baker represented Australasia in swimming and diving, as well as taking part in the middleweight boxing event, in which he won a silver medal.
