''Regifted'' is the third official extended play by the Christian pop punk band, Eleventyseven, as well as their first official Christmas music release. The EP was released digitally on November 7, 2012. It was also released in a physical format, but is no longer in print as a set number of copies were made. The EP contains five Christmas-themed tracks, all of which are either covers or classic Christmas carols. They continued to tour, self produce and release music independently until disbanding in September 2014. In late 2016, the band announced via social media that they have come back together to record a new album. They have since returned to independently touring and recording music while maintaining Eleventylife, a music-centric podcast where they frequently interview guests associated with different aspects of the music industry at large. Attack Of The Mountain Medley
''Attack of the Mountain Medley'' is the second official extended play by the Christian pop punk band Eleventyseven. The EP was released digitally via iTunes on August 12, 2012. It was also released in a physical format, but is no longer in print as a set number of copies were made. The EP segued from the band's usual synthpop/pop-punk fusion genre into folk rock. The topics of the songs include aspects like Mormonism, trailer parks, the creation of the earth, and country romance. Lead singer Matt Langston posted three videos which showcased some footage of the recording process behind the EP, as well as talking about release dates and social media. On August 24, 2018, Langston released a track-by-track commentary of the EP on the band's Eleventylife podcast. The episode also debuted a new synthesized version of "Appalachian Wine". Good Spells
''Good Spells'' is the fourth official extended play by the Christian pop punk band, Eleventyseven. The EP also marked the final release by the band as of their official disbandment on September 26, 2014. However in late 2016, the band reunited and released their next full-length album ''Rad Science'' in 2017. The title, "Good Spells", is a subtle reference or play at the word "Gospels", the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible. Background Within the first week of August 2013, the EP was first hinted at in an Instagram post where lead singer Matt Langston informed the public that the band was covering the hymn, "I Surrender All." On August 29, Langston revealed the album's cover art and release date (9.10.13) via Instagram and Tumblr. Placide Cappeau
Placide Cappeau (25 October 1808 – 8 August 1877) was a French poet and the author of the poem, "Minuit, chrétiens" (1847), set to music by Adolphe Adam and known in English as the carol "O Holy Night" or "Cantique de Noël". Biography He was born on 25 October 1808 in Roquemaure (Gard). He was the son of Mathieu Cappeau, a cooper, and Agathe Louise Martinet. He was expected to follow his father in the family business (vinification and cooperage), but after an accident, he turned to the life of an academic. Adolphe Charles Adam (; 24 July 1803 – 3 May 1856) was a French composer, teacher and music critic. A prolific composer for the theatre, he is best known today for his ballets ''Giselle'' (1841) and '' Le corsaire'' (1856), his operas ''Le postillon de Lonjumeau'' (1836) and ''Si j'étais roi'' (1852) and his Christmas carol "Minuit, chrétiens!" O Holy Night
"O Holy Night" (original title: ) is a well-known sacred song for Christmas performance. Originally based on a French-language poem by poet Placide Cappeau, written in 1843, with the first line (Midnight, Christian, is the solemn hour) that composer Adolphe Adam set to music in 1847. The English version (with small changes to the initial melody) is by John Sullivan Dwight. The carol reflects on the birth of Jesus as humanity's redemption. History In Roquemaure in France at the end of 1843, the church organ had recently been renovated. Angels We Have Heard On High
"Angels We Have Heard on High" is a Christmas carol to the hymn tune "Gloria" from a traditional French song of unknown origin called "", with paraphrased English lyrics by James Chadwick. The song's subject is the birth of Jesus Christ as narrated in the Gospel of Luke, specifically the scene outside Bethlehem in which shepherds encounter a multitude of angels singing and praising the newborn child.
