Regent Square (Pittsburgh)
Regent Square is a neighborhood in the East End of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. According to its civic association, it "includes portions of the municipalities of Pittsburgh, Edgewood, Swissvale and Wilkinsburg". It is also the name of one of the 90 neighborhoods within the City of Pittsburgh's limits, which leads to some confusion among residents. In 2017, it was named the #1 neighborhood to live in Pittsburgh and the #17 best neighborhood in the United States by Niche.com. The neighborhood is split between ZIP codes 15218 and 15221; the part of the neighborhood within the City of Pittsburgh is represented on the City Council by the council seat for District 5 (Southeast Neighborhoods). The neighborhood is a roughly rectangular plateau bounded on three sides by the steep valleys of Fern Hollow Creek to the west and Nine Mile Run to the south and east. Interstate 376
Interstate 376 (I-376) is a major auxiliary route of the Interstate Highway System in the US state of Pennsylvania, located within the Allegheny Plateau. It runs from I-80 near Sharon south and east to a junction with the Pennsylvania Turnpike (I-76, its parent) in Monroeville, after having crossed the Pennsylvania Turnpike at an interchange in Big Beaver. The route serves Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas and is the main access road to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Portions of the route are known as the Beaver Valley Expressway, Southern Expressway, and Airport Parkway. Within Allegheny County, the route runs along the majority of the Penn-Lincoln Parkway, known locally as Parkway West and Parkway East. Edgewood is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, United States, adjacent to the city of Pittsburgh. The population was 3,118 at the 2010 census. History Edgewood was incorporated on December 1, 1888. Swissvale is a borough in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, east of downtown Pittsburgh. Swisshelm Park is a neighborhood located in the southeast corner of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is represented oPittsburgh City Councilby Corey O'Connor. Swisshelm Park houses PBF 19 Engine, and is covered by PBP Zone 4 and the Bureau of EMS Medic 7. A majority of Swisshelm Park is largely surrounded by Frick Park. Squirrel Hill'Nine Mile Runproject borders it on the west; to the north is a section of the park adjacent to the Regent Square and the Parkway East. Point Breeze (Pittsburgh)
Point Breeze, or South Point Breeze, is a largely residential neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. The community was named after a tavern once located there. Like nearby Squirrel Hill it contains a large Jewish population, but is still majority Catholic and contributes to a high percentage of students enrolled in Taylor Allderdice High School, Oakland Catholic High School, and Central Catholic High School. The most prominent feature of Point Breeze is Henry Clay Frick's Clayton, which is a part of the Frick Art & Historical Center. Nearby is St. Bede School, a Catholic school, and the Pittsburgh New Church School. Nine Mile Run, known as Ninemile Run according to the USGS GNIS, is a moderately large tributary of the Six Mile Run, one of the branches of the Millstone River, in central New Jersey in the United States. Course The official source of the Nine Mile Run is at . It is found between Sand Hill Rd and Old Beekman Rd in Kendall Park, South Brunswick. Another more visible source, although it is not the official source, is a long narrow marsh beside Sand Hills Road across from the intersection of Stillwell Road and Sand Hills Road. The stream flows north from the source through a housing development and intersects Route 27 nine miles from where the highway crosses the Raritan River in New Brunswick, hence its name.
