Regan Gough
Regan Gough (born 6 October 1996) is a New Zealand professional track cyclist and road cyclist who currently rides for UCI ProTeam . Career He rode at the 2015 UCI Track Cycling World Championships where he won gold in the team pursuit. He was first on stage two of the 2014 Tour de Vineyards. At the 2014 UCI Juniors Track World Championships he won the madison and points race junior titles. Alongside Pieter Bulling, Aaron Gate, and Dylan Kennett, he came fourth in the men's team pursuit at the 2016 Rio Olympics, being beaten by Denmark to the bronze medal. In 2022, Gough won the National Time Trial Championships beating fellow teammate Michael Vink by 1 minute 23 seconds. Waipukurau
Waipukurau is the largest town in the Central Hawke's Bay District on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand. It is located on the banks of the Tukituki River, 7 kilometres south of Waipawa and 50 kilometres southwest of Hastings. History and culture Māori Central Hawkes Bay, where the town is located was settled by Te Aitanga a Whatonga, the descendants of Whatonga, grandson of Toi Kairakau. These were the Ngati Tara and Rangitāne peoples. In the mid 1500s the Ngāti Kahungunu invaded the area from the north and in the subsequent fighting drove the Rangitāne south into the Tahoraiti area ( Dannevirke). The 2013 UCI Juniors Track World Championships was the 10th annual Junior World Championship for track cycling held at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome in Glasgow, Scotland from 7 to 11 August 2013. Michael Vink (born 22 November 1991) is a New Zealand professional road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He was signed by on the strength of his results in the virtual cycling platform ‘MyWhoosh’. Vink has won the Tour of Southland three times (2018, 2019, 2021), a feat only achieved by four other riders. Aaron Gate (born 26 November 1990) is a New Zealand road and track cyclist, who currently rides for UCI Continental team . He represented his country in track cycling at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. Gate is the first New Zealand athlete to win four gold medals at a single Commonwealth Games.
