Reflections (Apocalyptica Album)
''Reflections'' is the fourth studio album of Finnish heavy metal music, metal band Apocalyptica, released in 2003 with a special-edition entitled Reflections Revised released in the later part of 2003 containing a DVD as well as the original album with five bonus tracks. The original slipcase cover is a picture of a burning cello, which is also seen in the inside traycard of all versions. The cover is similar to the cover of the film ''The Red Violin''. It was the first release to have professional percussionists playing the drums. From this album on, the band needed to add a drummer to the band, later being Mikko Sirén. "Toreador II" is a continuation of "Toreador" from ''Inquisition Symphony (album), Inquisition Symphony''. Apocalyptica
Apocalyptica is a Finnish symphonic metal band from Helsinki, formed in 1993. The band is composed of classically trained cellists Eicca Toppinen, Paavo Lötjönen, and Perttu Kivilaakso, and jazz drummer Mikko Sirén. Originally a classical-style Metallica tribute band, the band eventually adopted a neoclassical metal style without the use of conventional guitars and bass. They have sold over four million albums to date. Eicca Toppinen
Eino Matti "Eicca" Toppinen (born 5 August 1975) is a Finnish cellist The cello ( ; plural ''celli'' or ''cellos'') or violoncello ( ; ) is a bowed (sometimes plucked and occasionally hit) string instrument of the violin family. Its four strings are usually tuned in perfect fifths: from low to high, C2, G2, D3 ..., songwriter, producer, arranger, and (as a hobby) Drum kit, drummer. In 1993 he formed the quartet Apocalyptica. Dave Lombardo
David Lombardo (born February 16, 1965) is a Cuban-American drummer, best known as a co-founding member of American thrash metal band Slayer. He is currently playing drums with Testament, Fantômas, Suicidal Tendencies, Dead Cross, Mr. Bungle, and the Misfits. A drummer is a percussionist who creates music using drums. Paavo Lötjönen
Paavo Lötjönen (born 29 July 1968) is a cello player for Finnish band Apocalyptica. Paavo comes from a family where both of his parents were professional musicians. At the age of 6, he took a cello and decided that would be the instrument he would play all his life. Like fellow band members Perttu Kivilaakso and Eicca Toppinen, he attended Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. 20 years later, Paavo got his "Solist Cellist" diploma at the Sibelius Academy, and shortly after began to work as a cello teacher in music schools. Bush are an English rock band formed in London, England in 1992. Their current lineup consists of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Gavin Rossdale, lead guitarist Chris Traynor, bassist Corey Britz, and drummer Nik Hughes. "Letting the Cables Sleep" is the second single from British band Bush's third studio album '' The Science of Things'', which was released in 1999. In an interview, Gavin Rossdale revealed that the song was written for a friend who had contracted HIV. The song became a minor hit, and pushed the album to platinum status.
