Reetigowla
Reethigowla, Reethi Gowla or Reethigowlai is a janya raga in carnatic music. It is associated with 22nd melakarta raga Kharaharapriya. It is Vakra Shadava-Sampoorna (Zig-zag raga with six notes in Arohana and seven in Avarohana).Visually understood It is a Rakthi Ragam with unique and melodious Sancharams and Prayogams. This Raga invokes Bhakti mixed with immense joy through a Vadi-Samvadi relationship between many of its swaras such as Sa-Ma, Ri-Dha and Ga-Ni. Oru Odai Nadhiyagirathu
''Oru Odai Nadhiyagirathu'' () is a 1983 Indian Tamil-language film, written, produced and directed by C. V. Sridhar and starring Raghuvaran. The female leads were Sumalatha and Manochitra (daughter of T. S. Balaiah). Plot Raghuvaran visits his friend's place on a tour and one night he happens to see a woman while he was returning from a party. On that rainy night, he rapes her and leaves. He speaks about this incident to his friend and his friend advises him not to search for that girl, as she would have forgotten it. Haunted by guilty feelings, Raghuvaran searches for her later, but is unable to find her. Meanwhile, the woman (Sumalatha) becomes pregnant and unable to come in terms with this incident, she leaves that place with her father (Prathapachandran). Mysore Vasudevachar
Mysore Vasudevacharya (28 May 1865 – 17 May 1961) was an Indian musician and composer of Carnatic music compositions who belonged to the direct line of Thyagaraja's disciples. Vasudevachar's compositions (numbering over 200) were mostly in Telugu and Sanskrit. Some of his most popular kritis include ''Broche varevaru ra'' in Khamas raga, ''Devadideva'' in Sunadavinodini, ''Mamavatu Sri Saraswati'' in Hindolam, ''Shankari Ninne'' in Pantuvarali, ''Bhajare Re Manasa'' in Abheri and ''Ra Ra Rajeevalochana Rama'' in Mohanam. He was a recipient of the civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan. He is credited with two writings in Kannada, one of them an autobiography called ''Nenapugalu'' (memories) and ''Na Kanda Kalavidaru'' (the musicians I have met) in which he wrote the biographies of many well known musicians. Kharaharapriya is a rāga in Carnatic music. It is the 22nd ''melakarta'' rāga (parent scale) in the 72 ''melakarta'' rāga system. It is possible that the name of the ragam was originally ''Harapriya'' but it was changed to conform to the Katapayadi formula. ''Kharaharapriya'' has a distinct melody and brings out the ''Karuna'' rasam, invoking pathos in the listeners. Subbaraya Sastri
Subbaraya Sastri (1803–1862) the son and student of Syama Sastri, one of the most famous figures in the history of Carnatic music. He also has the unique distinction of having studied music from all the three of the musicians now acknowledged as "the Trinity of Carnatic Music": his father, and the master musicians Tyagaraja and Muthuswamy Dikshitar. Early life Subbaraya was born in 1803 as the second son of Syama Sastri. He studied music initially from his father. Later Syama Shastri asked Tyagaraja to teach his son and sent Subbaraya to him. He also had the opportunity to learn a few ''krithi'' from Muthuswami Dikshitar. He also learnt Hindustani music from Meru Goswami, a musician of the Thanjavur palace, and from Ramadas Swami who was a recluse and who lived in Tiruvidaimarudur near Kumbakonam. ''Tenali Raman'' is a 1956 Indian Tamil-language historical drama film produced and directed by B. S. Ranga based on Ch. Venkataramaiah's stage play ''Tenali Ramakrishna''. Produced for the banner Vikram Productions, the film stars N. T. Rama Rao, Sivaji Ganesan, V. Nagayya, P. Bhanumathi and Jamuna. Ranga also handled the cinematography while P. G. Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy
Viswanathan–Ramamoorthy were an Indian music composing duo composed of M. S. Viswanathan and T. K. Ramamoorthy. They worked together on over 100 films, from 1952's '' Panam'' to 1965's '' Aayirathil Oruvan''. After their split, Ramamoorthy worked on 16 films between 1966 and 1986. He and Viswanathan reunited in 1995 for ''Engirundho Vandhan''. Early lives Ramamoorthy Ramamoorthy, born into a well-known musical family in Trichy, was a capable violinist at an early age. His father (Krishnasamy Pillai) and grandfather, Malaikottai Govindasamy Pillai, were noted violinists in Trichy. As a child, Ramamoorthy performed several times with his father. Hariharan (born 3 April 1955) is an Indian playback, bhajan and ghazal singer who predominantly sings in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu languages.
