Redeemer (Norma Jean Album)
Redeemer is Norma Jean's third studio album. It was released on September 12, 2006 in the United States, and on October 3, 2006 in Canada. The album sold more than 21,000 records in its first week. It is the last album to feature drummer Daniel Davison. For this album they filmed videos for "Blueprints for Future Homes", and "Songs Sound Much Sadder". Shannon Crawford, the singer of Cellophane and Monster in the Machine, painted the album artwork. Norma Jean (formerly known as Luti-Kriss) is an American metalcore band from Douglasville, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. Since their inception in 1997, numerous lineup changes have left the band with no original members. To date, Norma Jean has released nine studio albums and received a Grammy Award nomination in 2006 for Best Recording Package for their second album ''O' God, the Aftermath''. The band's name is derived from the real name of actress Marilyn Monroe. Matthew Putman (musician)
Matthew Putman is an American drummer, percussionist, and multi-instrumentalist based in Arkansas. He is best known for being a member of the bands Norma Jean, Unwed Sailor, Living Sacrifice, and Lovedrug, as well as his work as a producer and engineer. Musical career Putman began his career in 1996 when he formed the Mathcore band Eso-Charis in Fort Smith, Arkansas with his brother Cory Brandan Putman, who later went on to join Norma Jean. When Eso-Charis disbanded in 1998, Putman joined the heavy metal band Living Sacrifice from 1998 to 2003, playing percussion on their seminal albums ''The Hammering Process'' and ''Conceived in Fire''. Daniel Travis Davison (born January 28th, 1983) is an American musician, songwriter, artist, and filmmaker. He is also a co-founder and former drummer of the band Norma Jean and a former drummer of Underoath and Every Time I Die. Early life Davison was born on January 28, 1983, in Douglasville, Georgia. Where he first learned to play the drums, and started his musical career. Career Luti-Kriss In 1997, Davison co-founded the band Luti-Kriss and was their drummer. Karan kovind Colour Revolt In early 2010, Davison started playing music again with the indie rock band Colour Revolt. Cory Brandan Putman is an American singer who has been the lead vocalist for the metalcore band Norma Jean since 2004. Career Brandan is a former member of bands Eso-Charis, Living Sacrifice, The Handshake Murders, and Uses Fire, and a current member of the bands Norma Jean, Fear is the Driving Force and The Radio Sky. He was one of the founding members of Mathcore band Eso-Charis, along with his brother, Matthew Putman and Arthur Green who eventually went on to join the band Living Sacrifice. He played guitar for a tour through Norway and Sweden with Living Sacrifice, before being replaced by Rocky Gray (who would go on to play drums in Evanescence and guitar in Soul Embraced). Monster In The Machine
Monster in the Machine was an American alternative rock band featuring Shannon Crawford (formerly of Cellophane) on vocals, keyboards and guitar, John Chase (also formerly of Cellophane) on guitar, Jay Kuri on drums and Lats (formerly of Memento) on bass. Along with the band Droid, they were one of the first two acts signed to Emotional Syphon Recordings in 2006 when Korn guitarist James Shaffer started the independent label. Their first album released on August 21, 2007, was titled ''Butterfly Pinned''. It featured guest spots from James Shaffer and Imani Coppola, while bassist Doug Ardito and drummer Josh Freese also contributed to the album.
