Red Scare Industries
Red Scare Industries (sometimes referred to as Red Scare Records) is a punk rock record label. The label was started in San Francisco (but moved to Chicago) by former Fat Wreck Chords employee Toby Jeg. Jeg started the label in 2004 when his friend Brendan Kelly of The Lawrence Arms wanted a new label to release the EP for his new band The Falcon, it has since released material for bands such as The Lillingtons, Cobra Skulls, The Copyrights, Sundowner, Teenage Bottlerocket, and more. For 2010 and 2011, Red Scare albums by The Menzingers and The Sidekicks have been named album of the year by punknews.org. The label has also worked with non-Red Scare artists on additional projects, including "Red Oktoberfest", an annual weekend music festival in Chicago which has featured bands such as The Lawrence Arms, American Steel, and Off With Their Heads, and the Swingin' Utters tribute album, ''Untitled 21: A Juvenile Tribute to the Swingin' Utters'', which most notably featured the D ... Dropkick Murphys
Dropkick Murphys are an American Celtic punk band formed in Quincy, Massachusetts in 1996. Singer and bassist Ken Casey has been the band's only constant member. Other current members include drummer Matt Kelly (1997– ), singer Al Barr (1998– ), guitarist James Lynch (2000– ), multi-instrumentalist Tim Brennan (2003– ) and multi-instrumentalist Jeff DaRosa (2007– ). The band was initially signed to independent punk record label Hellcat Records, releasing five albums for the label, and building a reputation locally through constant touring and yearly St. Patrick's Day week shows, held in and around Boston. The 2004 single, "Tessie" became the band's first mainstream hit and one of their biggest charting singles to date. Reaganomics (band)
Reaganomics (; a portmanteau of ''Reagan'' and ''economics'' attributed to Paul Harvey), or Reaganism, were the neoliberal economic policies promoted by U.S. President Ronald Reagan during the 1980s. These policies are characterized as supply-side economics, trickle-down economics, or "voodoo economics" by opponents, while Reagan and his advocates preferred to call it free-market economics. The pillars of Reagan's economic policy included increasing defense spending, balancing the federal budget and slowing the growth of government spending, reducing the federal income tax and capital gains tax, reducing government regulation, and tightening the money supply in order to reduce inflation. No Trigger
No Trigger is an American melodic hardcore band from Massachusetts, United States. History The band formed in 2001, with a sound which takes cues from like-minded outfits such as Strike Anywhere and None More Black. The band self-released two demos, one of them a split with Wasteland. By this point the band had started to gain accolades from the webzine likes of Pastepunk and Punknews, the latter of which referred to No Trigger as close to being "the best unsigned band in America". In late 2004, the band compiled these recordings and remastered the sound for their seven track debut release, ''Extinction in Stereo'', released on independent record label Bigmouth Japan. Joe McMahon (musician)
Joe McMahon is an Irish Gaelic footballer who played for the Omagh St Enda's club and for the Tyrone county team. His younger brother, Justin was the captain of the Tyrone under-21 team that won the 2006 Ulster Championship. Playing career Joe McMahon was part of the Omagh CBS MacRory Cup team that shared the title in 2001 (the scheduled replay was abandoned, due to restrictions of crowd gatherings amid a foot-and-mouth disease outbreak), and reached the final in 2002. A two-time All-Ireland-winner, McMahon started the 2005 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship Final, but had to be replaced because of injury, making him the first Omagh man to win an All-Ireland. Isotopes Punk Rock Baseball Club or commonly, The Isotopes, are a Canadian punk rock band, based in Vancouver. All of the band's songs pertain to the subject of baseball or baseball-related topics.
