Red Robin (comics)
Red Robin is a name that has been used by several fictional superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The identity was first used in the future timeline of the 1996 miniseries '' Kingdom Come'', where a middle-aged Dick Grayson reclaims the Robin mantle and becomes Red Robin. His uniform is closer to Batman's in design than any previous Robin uniform. Red Robin then reappeared in promotional material for the DC ''Countdown'' miniseries; eventually, it was revealed that this Red Robin was not Dick Grayson, but rather Jason Todd, who appeared under the cape and cowl. This was the first time the identity had been used in the main DC Universe reality. During the "Scattered Pieces" tie-in to the " Batman R.I.P." storyline, Ulysses Armstrong briefly appears as Red Robin. Tim Drake
Timothy Jackson "Tim" Drake is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly in association with the superhero Batman. Created by Marv Wolfman and Pat Broderick, he first appeared in Batman: Year Three, ''Batman'' #436 (August 1989) as the third character to assume the role of Batman's crime-fighting partner and sidekick Robin (character), Robin. Following the events of ''Batman: Battle for the Cowl'' in 2009, Drake adopted the identity of Red Robin (identity), Red Robin. In 2019, Tim returned to his original Robin persona and had a brief stint in which he used the mononym "Drake". As a young boy, Tim was in the audience the night Dick Grayson's parents were murdered and later managed to discover the identities of Batman and the original Robin through their exploits. Ongoing Series
In comics, an ongoing series is a series that runs indefinitely. This is in contrast to limited series (a series intended to end after a certain number of issues thus limited), a one shot (a comic book which is not a part of an ongoing series), a graphic novel, or a trade paperback. However, a series of graphic novels may be considered ongoing as well. The term may also informally refer to a current or incomplete limited series with a predetermined number of issues. Characteristics An ongoing series is traditionally published on a fixed schedule, typically monthly or bimonthly but many factors can cause an issue to be published late. In the past, the schedule was often maintained with the use of fill-in issues (usually by a different creative team, sometimes hurting quality), but increasingly the practice has been to simply delay publication. Dan DiDio
Dan DiDio (; born October 13, 1959) is an American writer, editor, and publisher who has worked in the television and comic book industries. From February 2010 until February 2020, he was the co-publisher of DC Comics, along with Jim Lee. '' Wizard'' magazine recognized him as its first ever "Man of the Year" in 2003 for his work in the DC Universe line of comics. Career TV work Prior to joining DC Comics, DiDio worked in television, beginning in 1981. DiDio was a freelance writer and story editor for Mainframe Entertainment, specifically working on ''ReBoot'' and ''War Planets''. DC Comics DiDio joined DC Comics in January 2002, as vice president–editorial, as well as writer for ''Superboy'' (issues #94 to 100). He was promoted to vice president–executive editor, DC Universe in October 2004. Countdown To Final Crisis
''Countdown'', also known as ''Countdown to Final Crisis'' for its last 24 issues based on the cover, was a comic book Limited series (comics), limited series published by DC Comics. It debuted on May 9, 2007, directly following the conclusion of the last issue of ''52 (comics), 52''. The series is written primarily by Paul Dini, along with a rotating team of Writer, writers and Artist, artists. ''Countdown'' consists of 51 issues, numbered in reverse and published weekly for one year. The series covers much of the fictional DC Universe, told in parallel narratives, through the interconnecting stories of a cast of characters. It frequently crosses over with List of DC Comics publications (K–O), other DC titles.
