''Red'' is a 2010 American action comedy film loosely inspired by the Homage Comics Limited series (comics), limited series Red (WildStorm), of the same name. Produced by Di Bonaventura Pictures and distributed by Summit Entertainment, it is the first film in the ''Red'' series. Robert Schwentke
Robert Schwentke (; born 15 February 1968) is a German film director and screenwriter. Life and career Schwentke was born in Stuttgart, West Germany. He graduated from Los Angeles film school, Columbia College Hollywood (CCH), in 1992. His wife is an American. He directed two feature films in Germany, the thriller ''Tattoo'' and the comedy ''Eierdiebe'', the latter a semi-autobiographical film about a man being treated for testicular cancer, a disease he had been diagnosed with and survived himself in 1995. Although not intending to do Hollywood movies, he ended up doing so after having trouble financing a third German film. Schwentke directed 2009's '' The Time Traveler's Wife'', based on the best-selling novel, and starring Eric Bana and Rachel McAdams. James Remar
William James Remar (born December 31, 1953) is an American actor. He has played numerous roles over a 40 year career, most notably Ajax in '' The Warriors'' (1979), Albert Ganz in ''48 Hrs.'' (1982), Dutch Schultz in '' The Cotton Club'' (1984), Jack Duff in ''Miracle on 34th Street'' (1994), Richard Wright in ''Sex and the City'' (2001–2004), and Harry Morgan, the father of the title character, in ''Dexter'' (2006–2013). The Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy is a Golden Globe Award that has been awarded annually since 1952 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA).
