The following is a list of recurring ''Saturday Night Live'' characters and sketches introduced between September 26, 1992, and May 15, 1993, the eighteenth season of ''SNL''. Tiny Elvis Nicolas Cage plays Tiny Elvis. Rob Schneider plays Sonny, Kevin Nealon plays Red, and Chris Farley plays Joe Esposito, in stereotypical "Memphis Mafia" roles. The sketch would be about a tiny Elvis Presley, with sycophantic characters laughing at any jokes he made while drawing attention to the relative hugeness of ordinary objects. ''Saturday Night Live'' (often abbreviated to ''SNL'') is an American late-night live television sketch comedy and variety show created by Lorne Michaels and developed by Dick Ebersol that airs on NBC and Peacock. The twenty-first season of ''Saturday Night Live'', an American sketch comedy series, originally aired in the United States on NBC between September 30, 1995, and May 18, 1996. History ''SNL'' once again dodged cancellation from season 20's low ratings and scathing reviews about the show's decline in quality. The cast was mostly overhauled, new writers were brought in, and Beth McCarthy Miller took over as director. The season was home to the Rage Against the Machine incident. ''The Showbiz Show with David Spade'' was a weekly television program on Comedy Central that starred comedian David Spade.
