Rebeka Dremelj (born 25 July 1980) is a Slovene singer, model, fashion designer, actress, and TV host. She was chosen to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 in Belgrade, Serbia, with the song " Vrag naj vzame". Professional and personal life Rebeka Dremelj was born in Brežice, SR Slovenia, Yugoslavia. She became a singer and was selected as Miss Slovenia 2001. Dremelj participated in Miss World 2001 and at the Miss World Talent Show in 2001 she landed the second place and thus signed a contract with Sony Records London. Brežice
Brežice (; german: Rann ) is a town in eastern Slovenia in the Lower Sava Valley, near the Croatian border. It is the seat of the Municipality of Brežice. It lies in the center of the Brežice Plain ( sl, Brežiško polje), which is part of the larger Krka Flat ( sl, Krška ravan). Love Symphony
Slovenia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 with the song "Love Symphony" written by Andrej Babić and Aleksandar Valenčić. The song was performed by Quartissimo feat. Martina. Slovenian broadcaster Radiotelevizija Slovenija (RTV Slovenija) organised the national final ''EMA 2009'' in order to select the Slovenian entry for the 2009 contest in Moscow, Russia. The national final consisted of a semi-final and a final where "Love Symphony" performed by Quartissimo feat. Martina was eventually selected as the winner following the combination of votes from a three-member jury panel and a public vote. Slovenia was drawn to compete in the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 14 May 2009. Martina Majerle (born 2 May 1980) is a Croatian singer of mixed Croatian and Slovenian descent. Majerle represented Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia with the string quartet Quartissimo with the song "Love Symphony". Quartissimo is a Slovenian string quartet featuring Žiga Cerar on first violin, Matjaž Bogataj on second violin, Luka Dukarić on viola, and Samo Dervišić on cello. The group's name is a portmanteau of quartet and the Italian suffix -issimo, which means extremely (e.g., ''fortissimo'', ''prestissimo''). The young but established musicians have experience as soloists and members of chamber orchestras, including the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra. All have had formal training in violin.
