Rebeca Bollinger (born Los Angeles, California) is an American artist. She works with sculpture, photography, video, drawing, installation, writing and sound. Early life and education Bollinger was born and raised in Los Angeles. She completed her BFA in Painting from the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) in 1993. Video Data Bank (VDB) is an international video art distribution organization and resource in the United States for videos by and about contemporary artists. Located in Chicago, Illinois, VDB was founded at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1976 at the inception of the media arts movement. VDB provides experimental video art, documentaries made by artists, and interviews with visual artists and critics for a wide range of audiences. San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI) was a private college of contemporary art in San Francisco, California. Founded in 1871, SFAI was one of the oldest art schools in the United States and the oldest west of the Mississippi River. Approximately 220 undergraduates and 112 graduate students were enrolled in 2021. The institution was accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), and was a member of the Association of Independent Colleges of Art and Design (AICAD).
