Real Quiet Stakes
The Real Quiet Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race run annually at Hollywood Park Racetrack in Inglewood, California. Open to two-year-olds, the stakes race is contested over a distance of 1 1/16 miles (8.5 furlongs) on Cushion Track synthetic dirt. Run in mid November, the race offers a purse of $100,000 Added. Inaugurated in 2005, the race is named in honor of Real Quiet, the 1998 American Champion Three-Year-Old Male Horse and winner of that year's Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes. In 1999, Real Quiet won the Hollywood Gold Cup at Hollywood Park Racetrack. Thoroughbred racing is a sport and industry involving the racing of Thoroughbred horses. It is governed by different national bodies. Bob Baffert
Robert A. Baffert (born January 13, 1953) is an American racehorse trainer who trained the 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah and 2018 Triple Crown winner Justify. Baffert's horses have won a record six Kentucky Derbies, seven Preakness Stakes, three Belmont Stakes, and three Kentucky Oaks. Early life and career Baffert grew up on a ranch in Nogales, Arizona, where his family raised cattle and chickens. When he was 10, his father purchased some Quarter Horses and he practiced racing them on a dirt track. Peter L. Miller (born October 2, 1966) is an American Thoroughbred racehorse trainer who is best known for back-to-back double wins at the Breeders' Cup in 2017 and 2018. He has won multiple training titles at Del Mar Racetrack and his horses have accumulated over $68 million in career earnings. Career Miller was introduced to horse racing by his parents, who owned Winning Ways Stables. He became a groom for Hall of Fame trainer Charlie Whittingham in the 1980s, when his charges included Greinton and Palace Music.
