Real Love (The Time Frequency Song)
"Real Love" is the debut single by the Time Frequency, released in 1992. It charted at number 60 on the UK Singles Chart. It can be considered the Time Frequency's signature song, due to it being the most well known song the band has released. The "1, 2, 1, 2" is sampled from the I Start Counting song "Lose Him". In 1993, a remix of the song was released, titled "Real Love '93". It peaked at number eight on the UK Singles Chart, making it the group's most successful single. Another version of the song was released in 2002 titled "Real Love 2002", and reached No. 43 on the UK Singles Chart and No. 12 on the Scottish Singles Chart. It also peaked at No. 10 on the UK Dance Singles Chart and No. 4 on the UK Independent Singles Chart. "Real Love" is a hit song by The Doobie Brothers, the first of three singles from their 1980 LP, '' One Step Closer''. "Real Love" became the greatest hit from the album, reaching No. 5 on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot 100 during the fall of the year. Lakeside is an American funk band, best known for their 1980 number one R&B hit, "Fantastic Voyage". Band history Formation and early years In 1969, guitarist Stephen Shockley from Dayton, Ohio formed a group called the Young Underground after he had departed a group known as the Monterreys. Vocalist Mark Woods, who was a member of another local band called the Nomads, joined up with Shockley's band. In 1971, the Nomads and the Young Underground took on a new, singular identity: With the addition of Thomas Shelby and Mark Wood's sister Shirley Wood, they became Ohio Lakeside Express.
