Real Centro Universitario Escorial-Maria Christina
The Real Centro Universitario Escorial-María Cristina (RCUEMC) is a private college in San Lorenzo de El Escorial, founded in 1892 by the Regent Maria Christina of Austria. The governance of the institution was given to the Order of Saint Augustine. The RCUEMC is part of the architectural monument complex of the Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial. It has several academic programs: a private program in chiropractic, and two official degree programs in law and in business. San Lorenzo de El Escorial, also known as El Escorial de Arriba, is a town and municipality in the Community of Madrid, Spain, located to the northwest of the region in the southeastern side of the Sierra de Guadarrama, at the foot of Mount Abantos and , from Madrid. It is head of the eponymous judicial party. Maria Christina Henriette Desideria Felicitas Raineria of Austria ( es, María Cristina de Habsburgo-Lorena; 21 July 1858 – 6 February 1929) was the second queen consort of Alfonso XII of Spain. She was queen regent during the vacancy of the throne between her husband's death in November 1885 and the birth of their son Alfonso XIII in May 1886, and subsequently also until the coming of age of the latter in May 1902.
