Real Betis Baloncesto S.A.D., simply known as Real Betis, is a professional basketball team based in Seville, Spain. The team plays in the Liga ACB. It plays its home games at San Pablo. History Club Deportivo de Baloncesto Sevilla was founded in 1987 when the team bought the seat of Dribling de Madrid in the second division, in that time called Primera División B. In 1989, the team promoted to Liga ACB for the first time ever. In 1996 and 1999 the club finished the league as runner-up being defeated both times in the finals 0–3 by FC Barcelona. In 2011, Sevilla lost the 2010–11 Eurocup final, played in Treviso, Italy, against Unics Kazan. On 21 July 2016, Baloncesto Sevilla and Real Betis agreed a collaboration agreement for helping the football squad to solve the financial problems of the basketball team. Liga ACB
The Liga ACB, known as Liga Endesa for sponsorship reasons, is the top professional basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system. Administrated by the Asociación de Clubs de Baloncesto (ACB), Liga ACB is contested by 18 teams, with the two lowest-placed teams relegated to the LEB Oro and replaced by the top team in that division plus the winner of the promotion playoffs. The competition was founded as the ACB Primera División on 1983 following the decision of clubs in the Liga Nacional, founded in 1957, to break away from the Spanish Basketball Federation and professionalize the league. The league's accumulated revenues were worth around €30 million in 2020, with Endesa and Movistar Plus+ contributing 50% of the revenues of the league. Aleksandar "Aco" Petrović (; born 16 February 1959) is a Croatian professional basketball coach and former player who is currently the head coach of the Croatia men's national team. Playing career A point guard or shooting guard, Petrović had achieved prominence in the 1980s and early 1990s. Yannick Nzosa Manzila (born 15 November 2003) is a Congolese professional basketball player for Real Betis Baloncesto, Real Betis of the Liga ACB on loan from Baloncesto Málaga, Unicaja. Early life and youth career Nzosa was born and raised in the suburbs of Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Jeremiah Hill (born September 4, 1995) is an American-born Cameroonian basketball guard for Bàsquet Girona of the Liga ACB. Hill attended Richmond Hill High School and in 2013 committed to play college basketball at Savannah State. Hill later transferred to Valdosta State, where in 2017 he was named to the 2017 NABC Coaches Division-II All American Team. Hill averaged 19.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game as a senior. Hill then played a season with the Jacksonville Giants of the American Basketball Association (ABA). On April 10, 2018, Hill signed with the Lakeland Magic. Georgios Tsalmpouris (alternate spelling: Giorgos Tsalbouris) (Greek: Γιώργος Τσαλμπούρης; born 22 June 1996) is a Greek professional basketball player for Bilbao of the Spanish Liga ACB. Shannon Evans II (born July 19, 1994) is an American-Guinean basketball player who last played for Valencia of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague.
