Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Jackson-Brown (; born May 29, 1950) is an American singer, actress, and the eldest child of the Jackson family of musicians. Her sister La Toya was born on her sixth birthday. At age 34, Jackson released her debut album '' Centipede'' (1984). ''Reaction'' is the second album by American R&B singer Rebbie Jackson. The album was released on October 7, 1986 and spawned two mildly successful singles, "Reaction" and " You Send the Rain Away", a duet with Robin Zander. "Ticket To Love" was going to be released as the second single and received a very limited promo release before being cancelled in favour of " You Send the Rain Away". The album-only track "Tonight I'm Yours", a duet with Isaac Hayes, received substantial airplay but was not commercially released as a single. ''Reaction'' received a limited CD reissue in Japan in the early 1990s. It was reissued on CD with Jackson's previous album ''Centipede'' on May 18, 2010. The album was reissued by Funky Town Grooves on CD in October 2012 and included 7 bonus tracks. David "Pic" Conley (born December 27, 1953) is an American jazz flute player, songwriter, and producer. Early life Conley was born in Newark, New Jersey. Shortly after graduating high school, Conley purchased his first instrument, a flute, for $10 with the idea of selling it for double price. Conley instead taught himself to play the instrument. Career Conley began his professional career when he moved to Los Angeles with the group Port Authority of Music, which included members David Townsend and Art McAllister in 1976. The group recorded an album produced by Ed Townsend, David Townsend's father. The group was signed to 20 Century Records, but the album was never released. Conley left the group to join Mandrill in 1977. In 1978, he made his television debut with Mandrill on the show ''Soul Train''. Conley released only one album with Mandrill, '' New Worlds'', in 1979. "You Send the Rain Away" is a song by the American singer Rebbie Jackson with Cheap Trick lead vocalist Robin Zander, released in 1986 as the second single from her second studio album ''Reaction''. It was written by Preston Glass, Gloria Sklerov and Lenny Macaluso, and produced by Reggie Lucas. The song reached No. 50 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Black Singles Chart. Release "You Send the Rain Away" was released by Columbia in America only on 7" and 12" vinyl. For its release as a single, the song was edited and cut by almost a minute in duration. The 7" single featured the B-side "If You Don't Call (You Don't Care)", which was taken from ''Reaction''. The 12" vinyl featured the "Single Version" as the A-side and the "Album Version" as the B-side. A promotional 7" vinyl was also issued featuring the "Single Version" on both sides.
