Reaction (album)
''Reaction'' is the second album by American R&B singer Rebbie Jackson. The album was released on October 7, 1986 and spawned two mildly successful singles, "Reaction" and "You Send the Rain Away", a duet with Robin Zander. "Ticket To Love" was going to be released as the second single and received a very limited promo release before being cancelled in favour of "You Send the Rain Away". The album-only track "Tonight I'm Yours", a duet with Isaac Hayes, received substantial airplay but was not commercially released as a single. ''Reaction'' received a limited CD reissue in Japan in the early 1990s. It was reissued on CD with Jackson's previous album ''Centipede'' on May 18, 2010. The album was reissued by Funky Town Grooves on CD in October 2012 and included 7 bonus tracks. Rebbie Jackson
Maureen Reillette "Rebbie" Jackson-Brown (; born May 29, 1950) is an American singer, actress, and the eldest child of the Jackson family of musicians. She first performed on stage with her siblings during shows in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in 1974, before subsequently appearing in the television series ''The Jacksons''. Her sister La Toya was born on her sixth birthday. At age 34, Jackson released her debut album ''Centipede'' (1984). The album featured songs written by Smokey Robinson, Prince, and Jackson's younger brother Michael, whose contribution (the title track "Centipede") became Rebbie's most successful single release. Toriano Adaryll "Tito" Jackson (born October 15, 1953) is an American musician. He is an original member of the Jackson 5 (later known as The Jacksons), who rose to fame in the late 1960s and 1970s with the Motown label, and later had continued success with the group on the Epic label in the late 1970s and 1980s. Preston Glass (born January 9, 1960) is an American musician, songwriter and producer. Glass is the winner of six BMI Awards. He has also worked several famous artists such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross, Kenny G, Natalie Cole and Earth, Wind & Fire. Philip Bailey
Philip James Bailey (born May 8, 1951) is an American R&B, soul, gospel and funk singer, songwriter and percussionist, best known as an early member and one of the two lead singers (along with group founder Maurice White) of the band Earth, Wind & Fire. Noted for his four-octave vocal range and distinctive falsetto register, Bailey has won seven Grammy Awards. Tony Haynes is an American lyricist, songwriter, poet, music publisher, producer and author. Over the last four decades he has written lyrics to melodies composed by the biggest names in R&B and pop music. He has also authored children's books and produced children's music based on some of the most successful animated characters. Robin Zander
Robin Wayne Zander (born January 23, 1953) is an American musician, best known as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for the rock band Cheap Trick, but is also a solo artist. Zander was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 as a member of Cheap Trick. Early life Zander was born in Beloit, Wisconsin, and grew up in nearby Loves Park, Illinois. "You Send the Rain Away" is a song by the American singer Rebbie Jackson with Cheap Trick lead vocalist Robin Zander, released in 1986 as the second single from her second studio album ''Reaction''. It was written by Preston Glass, Gloria Sklerov and Lenny Macaluso, and produced by Reggie Lucas. The song reached No. 50 on the ''Billboard'' Hot Black Singles Chart. Release "You Send the Rain Away" was released by Columbia in America only on 7" and 12" vinyl. For its release as a single, the song was edited and cut by almost a minute in duration. The 7" single featured the B-side "If You Don't Call (You Don't Care)", which was taken from ''Reaction''. The 12" vinyl featured the "Single Version" as the A-side and the "Album Version" as the B-side. A promotional 7" vinyl was also issued featuring the "Single Version" on both sides.
