Raymond "Ray" Stussy is a Character (arts), fictional character in the FX (TV channel), FX television series ''Fargo (TV series), Fargo''. He is one of several protagonists of the Fargo (season 3), third season and, like his brother Emmit Stussy, Emmit, is played by Ewan McGregor. Character overview 2010 In Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Ray is a parole officer and the far less successful younger brother of the self-proclaimed "Parking Lot King of Minnesota" Emmit Stussy (also McGregor). Ray goes to Emmit’s 25th wedding anniversary with his fiancée (and former parolee) Nikki Swango (Mary Elizabeth Winstead). After the party, Ray asks Emmit for money as a means to pay for a ring for Nikki. Emmit refuses the request. They discuss their past and it is revealed that their father, upon his death, bequeathed to Emmit a Corvette Stingray and to Ray a collection of rare stamps. ''Fargo'' is an American black comedy crime drama television series created and primarily written by Noah Hawley. The show is inspired by the 1996 film of the same name, which was written and directed by the Coen brothers, and takes place within the same fictional universe. The Coens were impressed by Hawley's script and agreed to be named as executive producers. The series premiered on April 15, 2014, on FX, and follows an anthology format, with each season set in a different era and location, with a different story and mostly new characters and cast, although there is minor overlap.
