Ray Jackson (born November 13, 1973) is an American former professional basketball player. He is most well known for his time as a member of the Fab Five with the Michigan Wolverines. College career Jackson was part of the famed University of Michigan Wolverines Fab Five along with former NBA players Chris Webber, Jimmy King, Jalen Rose, and Juwan Howard that reached the 1992 & 1993 NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship games as both Freshmen and Sophomores. Although the Fab Five final four appearances have been forfeited, he was not among the players called before the grand jury ( Robert Traylor, Webber, Rose, Maurice Taylor and Louis Bullock) in the University of Michigan basketball scandal and was not found to have received large amounts of money. Jackson and King were the only two members of the Fab Five to stay at Michigan for their full four years of eligibility; Webber left after his sophomore year and Rose and Howard after their junior years. Ray Jackson (Aboriginal Activist)
Ray Jackson (27 March 1941 – 23 April 2015) was an Australian Aboriginal activist and Wiradjuri elder. He was President of the Indigenous Social Justice Association (ISJA), and a prominent campaigner for the rights of Indigenous Australians. Early life Ray Jackson was a member of the Stolen Generations. In 1943, when Jackson was two years old, his father was killed in World War II, fighting Japanese forces on the Kokoda Track. Jackson said that instead of his biological mother receiving a war widows pension, the Australian government removed her four children (including Jackson) from her custody due to her Aboriginality. His name was changed and he was sent to a Catholic institution for a year, before being adopted by a white family. It was not until his teen years that he discovered he had been adopted. Lindsay Raymond "Ray" Jackson (born 12 December 1948, Wallsend, Northumberland) is a mandolin and harmonica player. He was a member and also joint lead vocalist, with Alan Hull, of the folk-rock group Lindisfarne from their original formation in 1970 until his departure in 1990. The group's drummer Ray Laidlaw shared the same forename, and thus Jackson was generally known in the group as "Jacka". After leaving school he studied graphics at Newcastle College of Art and Industrial Design, where he met Laidlaw. With Lindisfarne He designed the group's logo and the sleeve of their debut album ''Nicely Out of Tune''. Alongside his activities in Lindisfarne, he also played mandolin on Rod Stewart's solo albums ''Every Picture Tells a Story'' (1971), '' Never a Dull Moment'' (1972), and '' Smiler'' (1974). Raymond F. Jackson (born August 1, 1978) is a former American football running back. He played college football at Michigan and Cincinnati. Pro football career After not being selected in the 2002 NFL Draft, Jackson was a summer camp counselor for the Cincinnati city recreation department and later worked at a Wal-Mart. On March 13, 2003, Jackson signed a two-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals and participated in training camp with the Bengals. Jackson signed as a free agent with the Tennessee Titans on November 18, 2003. Early life Born the son of Alvin and Sherry Jackson, Alvin prepped at North Panola High School in Sardis, Mississippi, where he was a three-sport athlete, lettering in football, basketball, and track and field.
