Ray Hackett Racing
Ray Hackett Racing (RHR) was a stock car racing team owned by Ray Hackett. The team competed from 2005 to 2012, fielding entries in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and ARCA Re/Max Series. Ryan Hackett started the majority of the races the team competed in. Nationwide Series The team made its NASCAR Nationwide Series debut at Richmond International Raceway, where Ryan Hackett finished 35th. Hackett failed to qualify at Nashville Superspeedway and Bristol Motor Speedway later that year. On April 4, 2009, RHR announced plans for a limited NASCAR Nationwide Series schedule, starting at Nashville Superspeedway with Hackett behind the wheel. The ARCA Menards Series is an American stock car series, the premier division of the Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA). It is considered a minor, semi-professional league of stock car racing, used as a feeder series into the three national touring series of NASCAR, and hosts events at a variety of track types including superspeedways, road courses, and dirt tracks. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck based stock cars. Salem Speedway
Salem Speedway is a long paved oval racetrack in Washington Township, Washington County, near Salem, Indiana, United States, approximately south of Indianapolis. The track has 33° degrees of banking in the corners. Major auto racing series that run at Salem are ARCA and USAC. History It opened in 1947; two drivers were killed on the first lap of the first race. The track received major storm damage in 1981 and it was not used until 1987. A thunderstorm had ripped the roof off the grandstands and fences were damaged. Don Gettelfinger Sr. bought the track in 1987 and he replaced the fence with concrete. The track closed in May 1995 when he declared bankruptcy. Owen and Beverly Thompson bought the track and reopened it in 1996 after adding a new building, redoing the grandstand seating to a new capacity of 6000 people, and renovating the pits. The Herr's Snacks 200 is an Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) race at Salem Speedway, currently held in the fall. ARCA first held a race at Salem in 1979 before returning from 1987 to 1989. Races have been consistently held in the fall since 1992 and in April from 1996 to 2019. The April 2020 race was cancelled due to COVID-19, and only the fall race remained on the schedule in subsequent years. Frank Kimmel is the only multi-time winner of the April event, taking four victories. He also won the fall event five times, totaling nine wins at the track. 2008 ARCA Re/Max Series
The 2008 ARCA Re/Max Series was the 56th season of the ARCA Racing Series. The season began on February 9, 2008 at Daytona International Speedway with the Daytona ARCA 200 and ended on October 12, 2008 at Toledo Speedway with the Hantz Group 200. Justin Allgaier, driving for his family team, Allgaier Motorsports, won the season championship. Frank Kimmel, who won the series championship in nine of the previous ten seasons, barely lost the title this season to Allgaier. Kimmel had moved from the No. 46 Clement Racing car, which he won all of his titles in, to the No. 44 car for his family team this season. 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series
The 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series was the eighteenth season of the third highest stock car racing in the United States. The season was contested over twenty-two races, beginning with the NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona International Speedway and ending with the Ford EcoBoost 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. NASCAR announced some changes, including the removal of New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Nashville Superspeedway, and Lucas Oil Raceway from the schedule, and moving the Phoenix race back to its traditional fall date. In addition, Rockingham Speedway was added to the schedule, the first time NASCAR has raced at Rockingham since 2004.
