The Ravand Institute for Economic and International Studies is the first Iranian think tank of its kind. Non-governmental Organization
A non-governmental organization (NGO) or non-governmental organisation (see spelling differences) is an organization that generally is formed independent from government. Gholam Hossein Nozari
Gholam Hossein Nozari (born 1954) is a conservative Iranian politician who served as oil minister from 2007 to 2009. He was nominated secretary general of the OPEC in June 2012. Early life and education Nozari was born in Kazeroon, Iran, in 1954. He studied petroleum and earth science engineering at Shahid Chamran University. He received a master's degree in industrial management from Tehran University. Career Nozari worked at the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC). Ali Shamkhani (Persian: , born 29 September 1955) is an Iranian two-star general. He is the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran. Early life and education Shamkhani was born on 29 September 1955 in Ahvaz, Khuzestan. His family is of Iranian Arab origin. Before the Iranian Revolution, Shamkhani was member of a clandestine Islamist guerilla group named ''Mansouroun'' (), engaging in armed struggle against the Pahlavi dynasty.
