Rattled Roosters
Rattled Roosters are a rockabilly band from Vancouver, Canada. History The Rattled Roosters formed in 1993, with a line-up including "Rev. Rick" (Rick Royale), Crash Gordon, Tony Longlegs, and Lucky. They started busking on the streets of Vancouver, British Columbia and spent the early nineties touring Canada and the West Coast. They gained notoriety for their wild live show, stylish attire and kick starting a scene in the Pacific North West that embraced a merging of Rockabilly, Swing Music, Pop and Punk. In 1991, the Rattled Roosters were asked to host North West Rock an independent music video series guest hosted by some of the most influential local bands of the time including Mudhoney (Sub Pop), Hammerbox (C/Z Records), Tad (Sub Pop)and Grammy Award winning rapper Sir Mix A Lot (Nasty Mix / American Recordings) of "Baby Got Back" fame. Rockabilly
Rockabilly is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music. It dates back to the early 1950s in the United States, especially the Southern United States, South. As a genre it blends the sound of Western music (North America), Western musical styles such as country music, country with that of rhythm and blues, leading to what is considered "classic" rock and roll. Some have also described it as a blend of bluegrass music, bluegrass with rock and roll. Anthony L. Ray (born August 12, 1963), better known by his stage name Sir Mix-a-Lot, is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Reverend Horton Heat
The Reverend Horton Heat is the stage name of American musician James C. Heath (born 1959) as well as the name of his Dallas, Texas-based psychobilly trio. Heath is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. A ''Prick'' magazine reviewer called Heath the "godfather of modern rockabilly and psychobilly". The Cowsills
The Cowsills are an American singing group from Newport, Rhode Island, six siblings noted for performing professionally and singing harmonies at an early age, later with their mother. The band was formed in early 1965 by brothers Bill, Bob, and Barry Cowsill; their brother John joined shortly thereafter. Originally Bill and Bob played guitar and Barry played the drums. When John learned to play drums and joined the band, Barry began playing bass. After their initial success, the brothers were joined by their siblings Susan and Paul along with their mother, Barbara.
