Rathenow
Rathenow () is a town in the district of Havelland in Brandenburg, Germany, with a population of 24,063 (2020). Overview The Protestant church of St. Marien Andreas, originally a basilica, and transformed to the Gothic style in 1517-1589, and the Roman Catholic Church of St. George, are noteworthy. Rathenow is known for being the former capital of eyewear manufacturing in East Germany. It is also known for its stones, called Rathenow stones. After the fall of the Soviet Union, it was revealed that the remains of Hitler and his assistants were secretly buried in graves near Rathenow.V.K. Jörg Heinrich
Jörg Heinrich (born 6 December 1969) is a German professional football manager and former player. A highly versatile player, he was employed in a variety of positions in defense ( centre-back and left-back) and midfield ( left and defensive midfielder). Joachim Mrugowsky (15 August 1905 – 2 June 1948) was a German bacteriologist who conducted experiments on humans at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Rosemarie Köhn
Rosemarie Köhn (20 October 1939 – 30 October 2022) was a bishop of the Church of Norway, holding that position in the Diocese of Hamar from 20 May 1993 to 1 November 2006. Biography Köhn was born to a German father and Norwegian mother and immigrated to Norway in 1946. She graduated from the University of Oslo with a degree in theology ( candidata theologiæ) in 1966. Köhn worked as an assistant professor in Biblical Theology at the University of Oslo from 1976 to 1989, and principal of the Practical-Theological Seminary from 1989 to 1993. Jörg Freimuth (born 10 September 1961 in Rathenow, Bezirk Potsdam) is a retired East German high jumper. Wulf Herzogenrath (born 23 March 1944, Rathenow, Province of Brandenburg), Germany is a German art historian and art curator. He is a leading expert in the fields of Video art, New Media Art and the Bauhaus. He has assembled a large collection of artist's books. Stephan Bodecker
Stephan Bodecker (1384 – 15 February 1459) was the 37th Bishop of Brandenburg and a Christian Hebraist. He is known as the most important of the bishops of Brandenburg. He was born the son of a poor cooper from Rathenow, a small town on the river Havel around 20 miles north of Brandenburg an der Havel. The very gifted young Bodecker studied arts, philosophy and law at the universities of Erfurt, Leipzig and Prague and became a well known scholar and adviser to the Brandenburgian margraves. George William Ziemann
George William Ziemann (November 1806 or 1809 – December 26, 1881) was a German Christian missionary known for successfully establishing and running the Ghazipore Mission in India.
