Ibn al-Rassam (literally Son of the Draftsman) was an Egyptian Muslim alchemist and tile maker and mosaic designer, who flourished during the Mamluk Bahri dynasty (1250–1382). Abdul Qadir Al Rassam
Abdul Qadir Al Rassam, عبد القادر الرسام), 1952 - 1882), was born in Baghdad, Ottoman Empire. He was one of the first generation of Iraqi artists to study abroad and paint in the European style. He was influential in terms of introducing local audiences to European art. He is noted for his portraits and landscapes, painted in the Realist style. Life and career Abdul Qadir Al Rassam was born in the Maysan Province, Qal'at Saleh District in 1882. Qadir's life straddled two distinct eras in Iraqi history: he was born during Ottoman rule and died in the royal era (1921-1958). Hormuzd Rassam
Hormuzd Rassam ( ar, هرمز رسام; syr, ܗܪܡܙܕ ܪܣܐܡ; 182616 September 1910), was an Assyriologist and author. He is known for making a number of important archaeological discoveries from 1877 to 1882, including the clay tablets that contained the ''Epic of Gilgamesh,'' the world's oldest notable literature. He is widely believed to be the first-known Middle Eastern and Assyrian archaeologist from the Ottoman empire. Later in life, he emigrated to the United Kingdom, where he was naturalized as a British citizen, settling in Brighton. Hussam Al Rassam (Arabic, حسام الرسام born 29 March 1978) is an Iraqi singer and actor who has become a known singer post the 2003 Iraq war. He started his career as a singer fairly young but did not have much success until later in life with his album ''Al qodwwd alhalbiya''. After a successful single, he started to sing for free in the hunting club to gain popularity, and rumors indicates that he was singing in parties held by wives of senior Iraqi officials and figures especially ((wedad al-orfily)), Al-Rassam and recorded new singles based on poems. Jean-Pierre Rassam (1942–1985) was a Lebanese-French film producer of the 1970s. He was found dead, age 43, in his suite at the Plaza Athénée, the cause of death being barbiturate overdose, in 1985. Julien Rassam (né Langmann) (14 June 1968 – 3 February 2002) was a French actor.
