Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party ( RLJP; translation: ''National People's Manpower Party'') is an Indian political party formed in October 2021 under the leadership of MP Pashupati Kumar Paras. It was previously part of the unified Lok Janshakti Party but it has now factioned into two parties, with the other faction forming the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). After faction Rashtriy Lok Janshakti Party led by Pashupati Paras become part of NDA. Pashupati Kumar Paras
Pashupati Kumar Paras (born 12 July 1952) is an Indian politician who is currently serving as the Minister of Food Processing Industries in the Government of India. He is currently serving as a member of Lok Sabha from Hajipur (Lok Sabha constituency). He also held the post of the Minister of Animal and Fisheries Resources in the Government of Bihar. He is the younger brother of late Ram Vilas Paswan and he was also the State President of the Bihar unit of Lok Janshakti Party. He was elected as the National President of Lok Janshakti Party replacing Chirag Kumar Paswan in June 2021. After the faction in Lok Janshakti Party, he is National President of Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party. Veena Devi
Veena Devi (born 22 April 1967) is an Indian politician and the current Member of parliament from Vaishali. She is a former member of Bihar Legislative Assembly from the Gaighat constituency. In the 2019 Indian general election, she contested from Vaishali with Lok Janshakti Party and defeated Raghuvansh Prasad Singh. Political career On 2 September 2021, she became the parliamentary chairperson of Lok Janshakti Party replacing Chirag Kumar Paswan. The Lok Janshakti Party ( LJP, "People’s Manpower Party") was a state political party mainly based in the state of Bihar, India. The party was formed in 2000 when Ram Vilas Paswan split from Janata Dal. The party had a considerable following amongst Dalits in Bihar. The Party is factioned into two parties Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) and Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party. History In 2000, late Ram Vilas Paswan formed the Lok Janshakti Party as its president. India has a multi-party system. The Election Commission of India (ECI) accords recognition to the national level and the state level political parties based upon objective criteria. A recognised political party enjoys privileges like a reserved party symbol, free broadcast time on state-run television and radio, consultation in the setting of election dates, and giving input in setting electoral rules and regulations.
