Rashed Rouf
Rashed Rouf (born January 1, 1964) is a Bangladeshi novelist, editor and journalist. He was awarded the Bangla Academy Literary Award in 2017. As of 2019, Rouf is an associate editor of '' Dainik Azadi'', a Bengali-language daily newspaper. Early life Rashed Rouf was born at Patiya in Chittagong in 1964. His father was Noor Syed. His mother is Mabeya Begum. He spent his childhood in his native village, Chonhora in Patiya. Rouf is the eldest of eleven children with six brothers and four sisters. Education Rashed Rouf's education started at Chonhora Primary School in Patiya. Then he studied at Chonhora Shoroshy Bala High School, Patiya Government College and then at Chittagong University. In 1986, he completed his graduation in mathematics from the University of Chittagong and in 1987 completed his post-graduate. Chittagong District, renamed the Chattogram District, is a district located in the south-eastern region of Bangladesh. It is a part of the Chattogram Division. The port city of Chattogram, which is the second largest city in Bangladesh, is located within this district. History Because of the natural harbour, Chattogram had been an important location for trade, drawing Arab traders as early as the 9th century CE. The region fell under the rule of kings from Arakan in the 16th and 17th centuries, but later, the Mughal Army under Shaista Khan conquered Chattogram.
