Phylicia Rashad ( ) (née Ayers-Allen; born June 19, 1948) is an American actress, singer and director who is dean of the College of Fine Arts at Howard University. She is best known for her role as Clair Huxtable on the NBC sitcom ''The Cosby Show'' (1984–1992) which earned her Emmy Award nominations in 1985 and 1986. She also played Ruth Lucas on '' Cosby'' (1996–2000). She was dubbed "The Mother of the Black Community" at the 2010 NAACP Image Awards. Glenn Rashad Moore (born March 16, 1979 in Huntsville, Alabama) is a former American football defensive tackle. He was originally drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the sixth round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at Tennessee. Moore has also been a member of the Oakland Raiders, New York Jets, New England Patriots, and the Atlanta Falcons in his career. Early years Moore attended Johnson High School in Huntsville, Alabama and was a student and a letterman in football and basketball. Rashaad Armein Penny (born February 2, 1996) is an American football running back for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at San Diego State, where, in 2017, he led the nation with 2,248 rushing yards and scored 23 touchdowns on 289 carries, finishing fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting and garnering first-team All-American and All-Mountain West honors. Rashad Pharaon (1912–1990) was a Syrian-born Saudi Arabian medical doctor who served as the personal physician of Ibn Saud, founder of Saudi Arabia. He also held various official posts during the reigns of three consecutive Saudi kings, King Saud, King Faisal and King Khalid. Early life and education Rashad Pharaon was born in Syria in 1912. Ahmad Rashad (born Robert Earl Moore; November 19, 1949) is an American sportscaster and former professional football player. He was the fourth overall selection of the 1972 NFL Draft, taken by the St. Louis Cardinals. He was known as Bobby Moore before changing his name in 1973. Recruited after high school as a wide receiver by the University of Oregon, he played for their Oregon Ducks. He moved to the running back position and was named to the 1971 College Football All-America Team at that position. He became professional after being drafted by the Cardinals.
