Raquel Cole
Raquel Cole (born March 22, 1993) is a Canadian country singer and songwriter. She is signed to Sakamoto Music. As an independent artist, she released two extended plays, ''Personal Truth'' and ''The Essence of Me''. Outside of her solo career, she is also part of the Nashville-based independent music trio The Woods. Early life Cole grew up in Vernon, British Columbia and began playing the guitar when she was nine years old. Her parents purchased her the guitar as her father was a drummer and wanted someone to play music with. Her father arranged for her to have her first experience in a recording studio at ten years old as he wanted her to have an understanding of the recording process. Keith Lionel Urban (born 26 October 1967) is an Australian-American musician, singer, guitarist and songwriter known for his work in country music. The ''Abbotsford News'' is a Canadian community newspaper in Abbotsford, British Columbia published by Black Press. ''The News'' publishes more than 40,000 copies two times a week distributed across Abbotsford and also the adjacent municipality of Mission. ''The News'' claims to be one of the first community newspapers in the province due to its roots from the ''Abbotsford Post'' established in 1906 by Mission publisher John A. Bates. The International Songwriting Competition (ISC), founded in 2002, is an annual songwriting contest for both amateur and professional songwriters. The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) was founded in 1976 as the Academy of Country Music Entertainment to organize, promote and develop a Canadian country music industry. Diamond Rio is an American country music band. The band was founded in 1982 as an attraction for the Opryland USA theme park in Nashville, Tennessee, and was originally known as the Grizzly River Boys, then the Tennessee River Boys. It was founded by Matt Davenport, Danny Gregg, and Ty Herndon, the last of whom became a solo artist in the mid-1990s.
