Raphel Cherry
Raphel Jerome Cherry (born December 19, 1961) is a former American football defensive back in the National Football League for the Washington Redskins and the Detroit Lions. He played college football at the University of Hawaii. In 1999, Cherry was convicted of first degree murder in the death of his wife. He was initially sentenced to life imprisonment Life imprisonment is any sentence of imprisonment for a crime under which convicted people are to remain in prison for the rest of their natural lives or indefinitely until pardoned, paroled, or otherwise commuted to a fixed term. Pine Bluff is the eleventh-largest city in the state of Arkansas and the county seat of Jefferson County.
