''Rap Star'' () is a Chinese rap competition television series that airs on the streaming service platform Mango TV. The show, which is hosted by Du Haitao, features judges including Wang Linkai (Xiao Gui), Tia Ray, Danko, Yang Changqing, Air, Mc Guang Guang, Fa Lao, and Pact. The show is the second major Chinese rap competition show after ''The Rap of China'', which airs on iQIYI since 2017. The first season of ''Rap Star'' began airing on June 7, 2020 and concluded on August 30, 2020. The second season of ''Rap Star'' began airing on July 18, 2021. Wang Linkai (; born 20 May 1999), commonly known by his stage name Xiao Gui (; Lil Ghost in English) is a Chinese rapper and singer-songwriter. In 2017, participated in the iQIYI Hip-Hop music audition show "The Rap of China", won the top 70 in the country, and officially entered the entertainment industry. Tia Ray (simplified Chinese: 袁娅维; traditional Chinese: 袁婭維; pinyin: Yuán Yàwéi; born 12 December) is a Chinese singer-songwriter from Hunan, China. ''Rap for Youth'' (说唱新世代) is a Chinese rap streaming competition television series that airs on the digital and streaming service Bilibili. The show features regular judges Huang Zitao, MC HotDog, Higher Brothers and Indonesian rapper Rich Brian, and special guest judge Li Yuchun. The show, which began airing in the summer of 2020, puts it in direct competition with other major Chinese rap competition shows such as ''The Rap of China'', which airs on iQIYI, and '' Rap Star'', which airs on Mango TV.
