''Rap Album Two'' is the fifth studio album by American hip hop artist Jonwayne. It was released on February 17, 2017, by Jonwayne's own imprint Authors Recording Company and Daddy Kev's The Order Label. Background The album comes following Jonwayne's hiatus from the music industry, initially presented as a retirement taken while fighting a stint of alcoholism. On December 7, 2016, Jonwayne shared an Open Letter to his fanbase via his Facebook page that detailed his struggles that led to the cancellation of a European Tour and departure from the music industry. This letter concludes with the announcement of ''Rap Album Two''. Release Up until the announcement of the release date for the album, multiple one-off singles were released by Jonwayne to the music sharing site SoundCloud. Jonathan Wayne (born June 5, 1990), better known by his stage name Jonwayne, is an American rapper and record producer. Early life Jonwayne was born in La Habra, California on June 5, 1990. He is a descendant of American Revolutionary War General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, from whom actor John Wayne took his stage name. Career Jonwayne briefly worked as a stage actor after high school. Through these activities, he developed a crush on a girl who was interested in poetry; he then began writing his own poetry in order to impress her and quickly found a passion for it. Jonwayne's love of poetry led to his involvement in hip hop at 17 years old when a rap group from West Covina began bringing their equipment to a Young Artists Workshop that he attended. ''XXL'' is an American hip hop magazine, published by Townsquare Media, founded in 1997. History In August 1997, Harris Publications released the first issue of ''XXL''. It featured rappers Jay-Z and Master P on a double cover. In December 2006, ''XXL'' took over the struggling hip-hop producer and DJ magazine '' Scratch'' (another publication owned by Harris Publications), re-branding it as ''XXL Presents Scratch Magazine''. Juan Alderete de la Peña (born September 5, 1963) is an American musician, best known as the longtime bassist of Racer X, the Mars Volta and Marilyn Manson. Biography Alderete was born in Los Angeles, California the fourth of five children. In the 1970s, the family moved to Novato of the San Francisco Bay Area. Son of the late civil rights activist Angel Manuel Alderete, he was exposed to jazz music on a weekly basis by his father, who often played it around the Alderete household. Juan decided to pick up the bass after he and his friends decided to start a band.
